  • Fun little bass - perfect for beginners
Nice little bass for beginners. Good value for the money. Guitar neck is a bit shorter than I expected and no cutout makes it a stretch to play upwards of the 12th fret or so. Love the sound and very fun to play. Looks nice and has built in tuner on board that works nicely and I was playing it within minutes out of the box. There are tiny knobs for bass, treble, volume when you connect to an amp. I would think that a pro or someone that is playing a lot would want a full size base with a cutout but I am really enjoying playing this bass guitar. ... show more

  • Great
The media could not be loaded. One of the strings was unwound when it arrived, so I couldn’t play it immediately. I would have been pretty mad. Bass strings are 30-40 bucks, but I was planning on changing the stings anyways as I do with any new guitar or bass, so it was whatever, but if I was a beginner, I would have been livid. Once the new strings were on, this thing sounds and plays like a dream. 5 stars for sure. Great sound when slapping, walking, or when playing with a pick. Ibanez does it again with a quality instrument for a great price. And if you wanted to send me a free set of those d’addarios for the bad factory strings, I wouldn’t say no ;) ... show more

  • Buy it
I compared it to the Taylor mini bass and it really is just as good and in my opinion looks better. Plus this is $500 cheaper.

  • Vary nice! At the rite price
Craftsmanship I thought was vary nice. Would be great for beginners. Priced just perfect for the product. I would have liked it to have had a longer neck and a bigger body this would be awesome for a child. Sounds great with amp the strings are a little high at the bottom of the fret board but that is an easy fix. For the most part I am vary happy with what I got for the money. It is vary beautiful. ... show more

  • Good quality at a price that’s right.
All pluses and no deltas. Parlor size is cool. Scale length is perfect. Sounds good, but don’t expect all strings to sound even when amplified. I think all acoustic basses have that same shortcoming. I have a long scale Guild acoustic bass that is the same way. The fit and finish are flawless. Frets are smooth and even. Binding is perfectly installed and even. Comes with truss rod tool, extra bridge, shim, extra bridge pin and even has mushroom head strap buttons. All this adds up to a very nicely made bass at a bargain price. ... show more

  • Excellent quality in a "short scale" acoustic bass
I'm a professional musician, although I needed an acoustic bass guitar. I recently pick up this bass for an acoustic bluegrass/country trio. Quality is very nice and I love the "short scale" neck since at 5'5" my arms are rather short. Good acoustic sound, the "E" string is a bit "buzzy" out of the box, but I'm having that taken care of by a guitar tech. This model comes with a built in tuner and internal pick-up. If you plug this little gem into a small amp like my Fender Rumble 25 watt it really comes to life! Very pleased with this bass for the money. Highly recommended for jamming on the deck or playing small venues. Love it! ... show more
