I loved this duvet at first but after about 2 weeks it was completely pilled to the point of being unusable. It was no longer soft, but rather felt extremely scratchy from the millions of lint balls, and looked like crap. This was just from regular use, and never run through the wash. After scrutinizing many different pink duvet covers, I decided to try this HYPREST duvet cover. The color is closer to a muted rose color, which I love! In comparison, the lighter pillow on my bed is close to a true baby pink, so you can tell the duvet and pillowcases are more mauve colored. I followed a lot of other reviewers recommendation & washed it in cold temp + delicate/gentle and then dried on low. However, when I pulled it out of the dryer, I noticed a small tear. I did see others warn about their duvet cover tearing in the wash, so I halfway expected the same to happen to me. Luckily, the tear on my cover is on the underside, so it’s not visible at all. I’m ok with that, since I didn’t pay a ton of money for this duvet cover. But be warned that it is a possibility. My cover didn’t shrink at all, but I took the precautions to wash/dry on the appropriate settings to prevent that. It’s actually pretty soft in my opinion, but does wrinkle a little. It fits a tiny bit big on my Queen comforter (88x88) but doesn’t overhang low on the sides. The actual cover does not feel thin, so I think you could put a colored comforter inside without it showing through. There are ties in the inside to secure your duvet cover and the zipper on the bottom feels like a low end zipper. Luckily the zipper on my cover works great! All in all, you get what you pay for. I didn’t break the bank, so I wasn’t expecting an amazing cover, but I really love the ruffles, the color, & the softness, so it’s a win for me! Hopefully it doesn’t damage more in future washes, but I guess that’s what I get for choosing a budget-friendly cover. ... show more
