  • Revolutionary.
Style Name: R45
The media could not be loaded. I literally cannot believe the change this made in the performance and speed I’m seeing out of my engine! - I had already been impressed with the incredibly durable, quality feel of the shield itself, (not to mention how much better it looks after completely hiding my ugly, scraped up skeg!) but after seeing and experiencing the proof first hand, I’m hands down a believer that this one is going to revolutionize the outboard game! - Install was as simple as you expect! My skeg had a curve to its shape, so I used my clamps to squeeze the middle of the brackets with a wrench between the top of them to “fan” them out just a touch - Measure and Measure again!! - Ensure the front and the back are equal distance from the cavitation plate! And if you need to, use a couple clamps to hold things still! - They instruct you to drill your top rear hole first which is a HUGE help to keep your self on track as you measure one more time before committing to the position! (Totally grateful for that foresight in the design process!) - I hit 18mph with an 8hp four-stroke (to be fair it has a ”9.9” carb) but the fastest I’ve EVER been on that dinghy was MAYBE 10mph for about half a second - (Don’t get me wrong, I love my dinghy, but the planing speed has always been horrible!) - Aside from the speed increase, the smoothness and stability of my turns can’t be given any justice from the video, as it just feels so much better to me than before with the slip being all but gone - I couldn’t begin to praise this one enough! - 15/10 take my money again and again!! ... show more

  • Way to good not to review.
Style Name: L35
I must say that I find myself rating only the best or the worst products everything else is just kind of expected when you’re ordering from Amazon. But this product deserves a positive review! First of all I have never had such superior customer service from any company. Dale (I think he may be the owner and/or maybe the inventor or, at minimum, a A++ vested employee) was literally on the phone with me at 7pm on a random Thursday night answering my questions and texting with me so he could review photos of the placement of my install. In a world that begs not to be bothered with trivial questions about products or any extra help after the initial purchase, Dale was a breath of fresh air. He knew exactly what I was asking, exactly how to help and then he even followed up to make sure I was good with everything! 😲😲🤯 So all of that and I haven’t even gotten to how awesome the product is! So I was a little skeptical going in. After all there is a few bad reviews about this thing. I purchased it because I live on a river that has some fluctuations in water level. It’s not bad but it is enough that I have had to replace more than my fare share of props over the last 5 years. I’m not blowing them up daily, but after buying my 4th prop for the boat in 5 years I felt like I should at least look at my options. After having this on my boat for only a week (and probably 16 hours of run time) I can say without a doubt that is working. Obviously the prop is still pristine but that is just the half of it. My boat also has a noticeably faster hole shot, I gained 2-3 mph on my wot without any issues in rpm or cavitation. I can only say good things about this product. If that changes I will repost but for now know that I am thoroughly impressed by this product and the company. And no I was not paid or given this product for this review. • Pricey
Style Name: L35
Works well but pricey. This was a replacement because I damaged my old one in the lake. Manufacturer ignored me when I asked about buying new brackets for the one I damaged.

  • Great protection recommend stronger material
Style Name: L35
Update: Excellent customer service. Dale responded to my review, although not necessary, and he stands by the product. It seems the product I received had a manufacturing defect, he was able to fulfill the warranty extremely fast. I have seen how well this product performed on my Yamaha 200hp and I recommend it. Not to mention how well it protected my prop in the sand bar. Thank you again for the wonderful product and service. Orig. post. The product did great at protecting the prop but the moment it touches bottom it begins to warp. As you can see in the pictures, it didn’t last very long. I do feel better that the prop wasn’t affected but I’m disappointed that once it touched a sandy bottom it didn’t last very long before it snapped. I followed the instructions during the installation. However, I believe that either the material should be stronger or the aluminum brackets should be longer. ... show more

  • Robustly made
Style Name: R45
A very robustly made in the USA product and easy to install. I did have to make a minor modification to it so that I could more easily access the lower unit drain plug.

Everything is awesome. Protection for lower unit and the prop.. while saving fish or maybe human errors.

  • Protected prop made other things worse
Style Name: R35
So as a prop guard this is great but it slowed down time to plane , slower top speed by around 2 mph 15 % worse fuel efficiency . So if you’re looking for a propeller guard this works well. If you’re looking for a hydrofoil I can’t recommend it . Honda bf60
