  • Great EDC/Day Hike Bag
Color: Dark Brown
I got this bag because I do not like carrying mostly empty or unnecessarily overloaded bags on day hikes/to the beach. This bag is the perfect size for my needs - first aid, extra clothes, EDC gear. It does not have a MOLLE system, so if that is what you are looking for this may not be the bag for you. It does, however, have shock cord on the front, which I use to carry an extra layer, towel, or whatever else I can cinch down. There are plenty of nylon loops, D-rings, and sliders - use your creativity! There are two compartments: the main compartment (which has a large pouch on the back, three open pouches on the front, and a zippered pouch above those) and a smaller zippered compartment that runs the full length of the front. I keep a rag in there and my phone, wallet, and keys ride on top. Some may think there aren’t enough pockets, but it’s just right for me. Everything has its place and nothing is empty, which keeps the shape/firmness of the bag. For less than $30, this bag is a great deal. The stitching is holding up so far. The color is perfect, there are velcro/elastic keepers on every strap to keep things neat, and the material feels like it will last. All in all I’m happy. ... show more

Color: Dark Brown
Small enough to take on our days hikes. Appears to be very durable fabric.

  • Comfortable to wear around
Color: Black
This bag is super comfortable to wear and can fit quite a bit of stuff! I use it for school and work and regularly carry a 17.5 in laptop and binders around in it with no issues. My only issue is that i wish the front pocket were less deep - i put my keys and sunglasses in there and always spend too long looking for them! ... show more

  • Perfect for Day Hikes
Color: Black
I very much dislike the feeling of carrying a floppy, mostly-empty backpack; this makes the handful of 40L+ hiking packs I own ill-suited for short day hikes. With the help of some supplies I already had on-hand, this 25L "tactical" backpack from HUNTVP is now perfect for that purpose. First things first: This backpack has plenty of attachment points, including D-rings, sliders for 1" nylon straps, and plenty of loops from which to attach shock cord, carabiners, or other small items. However... There isn't one bit of PALS webbing present, so the word "MOLLE" doesn't really belong in its description. If you're looking for a platform to attach your MOLLE gear, this backpack is not it. For size reference, I've included a picture alongside a GoRuck Rucker 20L (which is wider side-to-side, but slimmer front-to-back). For student/office/urban use: The only 15.6" laptop I own is an old, chunky one. It fits in the laptop pocket with a bit of effort, so a modern (slim) 15.6" or smaller laptop will work best; none of the interior pockets have additional padding or a velvet lining to protect a device. Opposite the laptop pocket, three smaller pockets are present. The largest of the three is large enough to hold my Surface Pro 7 (without a case), but it's only deep enough for it to slide in halfway; this pocket is better left for a 10" or smaller tablet. For office use, I would find it very difficult to give up the seemingly-endless compartments of my larger Ogio Renegade RSS 17, and I couldn't switch to this one unless I was purposefully "traveling light." For outdoor use: For me, this is where the HUNTVP backpack shines; I'll gladly give up some of the storage compartments of my larger packs in favour of the small(ish) 25L size and external attachment points for short outings. The side pockets each hold a 1L water bottle comfortably, and can probably hold larger. One side pocket + the two compression straps on the same side can also successfully hold a tripod. The exterior front pocket is 14" deep and can easily hold two collapsible trekking poles if left unzipped, as can the front lashing strap. Ultimately, I decided to add four pieces of shock cord and cord locks to hold my trekking poles independently at either side. I also custom-cut a semi-rigid plastic sheet to insert in the laptop compartment; for an insignificant 4oz penalty, it prevents the backpack from being "floppy" even when its almost empty. The rest of the main compartment and interior pockets are more than spacious enough for wallet, keys, phone, binoculars (in their own case), food, first-aid kit and other supplies. All interior pockets could benefit from zippers or Velcro closures to guarantee that everything stays "in its place" when the pack gets knocked around, but it will work as-is for my intended use. Overall, this backpack (branded as "Protector Plus" on the zipper pulls and interior lining), offers way more external customization than most of the similarly-sized, premium-brand hiking packs I considered, at a fraction of the price ($29.99 at the time of this review). ... show more

  • Regular backpack - Standard materials -
Color: Black
I would really just consider this a regular backpack. Calling it a military molle rucksack is a stretch. Due to the lack of Velcro and configuration options, I don't see that it qualifies as molle gear That being said, it's made well enough as a standard backpack. Offers a lot of comfort adjustment for the wearer A little bit overpriced for what it is. ... show more

  • Love this backpack
Color: Black
I like backpacks in general but really love this one. The style and capacity is outstanding. It has just enough pockets without being obnoxious with tiny useless compartments. The material is durable, the straps and zippers are good quality and don't bind or get stuck. It is lightweight, comfortable and easily stores a laptop, tablet, backup batteries and snacks. It is a great size and has been a great bag for everyday use for work or going to a theme park etc. Outstanding value, highly recommend ... show more

I'm using this backpack for field labs. It is so comfortable and lightweight. It holds everything I need and has room to spare. Prevents my back from sweating and fits nicely.

  • Great Little Hiking Companion
Color: Dark Brown
This tactical backpack is small but mighty. I was impressed by how well it was constructed and the sturdiness of the materials and stitching. It is rugged and made to last for hopefully a long time though some rougher wear and tear. It's the perfect size to take with you on long walks, hikes, or camping. Loosening up the compression straps allows more room in the interior. It has multiple pockets, some zippered. Lots of storage options for smaller items, and a pocket for a small laptop or tablet if you want to bring one with you. The front has a molle system and drawstring to help store additional items you may need. The straps are wide and surprisingly comfortable, with a mesh lining on them and on the back of the backpack to allow ventilation. This is a great little tough backpack, and it will be getting lots of use this winter when we go on hikes or walks. I only wish it was a little larger, because it looks like it suits a young teenager rather than a large adult person. ... show more
