The rope and carabiner are very heavy duty. The carabiner is marked as rated for 2.5 Tons (5000 lbs) which I found interesting since most climbing carabiners are rated in KN. It doesn't really make a difference just found that interesting. The rope has a reflective material built in which could be helpful for other hunters to identify your location if you are hunting on public lands. I really do like this style of safety rope over the belt style. I often hunt from a climber and this allows you to move up and down the tree in a much more efficient fashion and much easier to lower quickly if you need to get it out of the way for a bow shot. I have found times when a deer shows up on the opposite side of where expected the belt style straps often get in the way of the shot. If you are hunting from an elevated stand I would really recommend picking up one. With an additional locking carabiner this can also be used as a lineman's belt for hanging climbing sticks and hang on stands. ... show more

The rope is built well and the stitching is good. The sheathing is snug around the core and the diameter is on the larger of of what looks to be considered a static line. The carabiner isn't on the same level as one intended for climbing, but it's up to the job and decent quality especially compared to some you get with a tree stand harness. ... show more

I've used this a few times now as my linemans rope in my saddle hunting setup. It is a pretty thick rope, but works great for this purpose. I simply added another carabiner to the other end to hook to my saddle. The reflective feature is kind of nice when climbing up or down the tree in the dark before or after the hunt, as you can easily see where it's at in relation to your hands and on the tree. Nice that it has the reflective weaves and works with a low powered flashlight. I also tested it holding myself (300ish lbs) with my hunter safety harness and did not notice any issue. Excited to try this on my next hunt rather than lugging the 30' line out with me.

Heavy duty rope with reflective threads woven into the rope, not sure what advantage the reflective threads are as I don’t hunt in the dark. As for the rope, it’s rated at 1300lbs static load, so more than enough to take my weight. Comes with a heavy duty connector and an adjustable Prusik knot already attached.
