You would think that ceiling fan remotes all work mostly the same. Turn light on/off, turn fan on/off, adjust fan speed, dim the light. These are not unreasonable expectations, but many ceiling fan remote controls do not come close to meeting those expectations. This one does, in spades. After having tried multiple remotes with a variety of brands of ceiling fans, this is the one I keep coming back to for reliability, strength of signal, and simplicity of features. Easy to install. Good priceThe switches under the buttons on this knock off are not as good as a true Hunter remote. I knew this was not a Hunter brandcremote, but I am taking a star off for false advertising in the description.

This remote is based on one of Hunter's most successful remote controls. Uses a standard 2030 flat battery which is not supplied, but this remote is tried and true for years. Remote holders designed to go over standard toggle switch, has always been a little light duty and it's construction however a dab of glue where are the two pieces joined together will make this an excellent holder as always. This is not a Hunter remote. It is a no-name chinese piece of trash. I'm a professional electrical contractor. I strongly advise replacing fan remotes with reputable brands. Standing on ladders to replace these is not fun, and not something you want to repeat if avoidable.
