we run our ceiling fan 24/7. my fan randomly started to turn off while we had the light on. I looked everything over and figured it had to be this unit that failed and it was. Was not hard to change and is working just fine now.

Always have a spare remote for your fan. It was unclear in my fan directions as to what remote to buy. I took a $25 gamble and lucked out. It works great!

Worked just fine with a fan we bought off FB marketplace that didnt have a remote. Connected the wires as instructed and everything was good to go. Only giving it 4 starts because the remote required a CR2032 battery and it is not included.

I would have given this 5 stars, except for the battery issue. This product was ordered to replace a faulty one in my ceiling light/fan. The receiver was great, working perfectly as soon as it was installed. Thank goodness I looked at the “often bought together” section of the product information and it listed button batteries, which I ordered at the same time. The remote included in this bundle DOES NOT come with a battery already in it! If I hadn’t ordered what I thought were extra batteries I wouldn’t have been able to use my fan/light until I got some somewhere.

These fan controllers are wonderful. I’ve installed six of them now. When your bedrooms, or any room, isn’t wired with two switches to control the fan and light separately, this is your go to. Hunter quality and easy to install. Instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Remote doesn't come with a battery. Requires a coin CR 2032. Put a brand new battery and remote functions intermittently. Move the battery around a little and the it works, for while. The fan motor now hums, constantly. It didn't before the install. It gets louder the higher the speed setting. I bought a Hunter fan because they are so quite, not any more.

Not sure if this fits all ceiling fans but it’s a great way to add remoteness to Hunter brand fans. Makes adjusting fan speed and light dimming a breeze. No need to hire an electrician, easy 3wire hookup
