This was a great purchase and I've got no regrets! Used it to power on and off, the router mounted in my router table. I ran the router cord into the back of this and ran the cord from the back of this switch into another switch that activates my dust collector, right after the router turns on! I'm very pleased with this switch, it was easy to mount and worked perfectly from the first press of the button! I'd buy this switch again in a minute if I need to, in fact I'm making some changes in the layout in my shop and I may be buying one to accommodate my planer in the same way, it's so convenient!     • Much needed main control switch
I have a router table that I made and needed a main control switch, without the switch I had to reach under the table to turn the router on and off. This switch has two outlets on the back and that is good to control the router and my shop vacuum. The problem is in the design setup, after mounting the switch, you have to reach around behind the control switch to plug the router and vacuum into the switch. I have it mounted, however I may have to make a wooden frame to mount this switch in so it is easier to use the two electrical outlets on the back. ... show more

    • Works great, needs to have a bracket.
Works just great. But it would be great if it came with a mounting bracket, even as an option at a higher cost. It would refit my old little craftsman router table as-is, but there's a bracket on that table. I didn't want it for that, and so had to fabricate a bracket with some aluminum angle. Not a big deal, but just be aware that you'll need to be able to make a bracket to mount it unless it is a direct retrofit. Also, the cord was a little short for my needs, shorter than I expected. But again I was able to "upgrade" that. so check and make sure the cord will be long enough for your needs. ... show more

This has an 18 inch cord. My router table is 18 inches wide. This is a really dumb flaw for something so simple. How did you get that wrong. I will still make it work.

Simple to install and the second receptacle comes in handy. Got this to shut off my table saw with so I don't have to reach under the saw to find the the Stop button. I Positioned the switch high enough to bump it with my thigh without looking for it. Happy with the unit and price and feel much more safer around the table saw. I have one Installed on my router table as well. ... show more
