First off, the unloader system is trash. Most of these compressors have an unloader that lowers the idle and relieves the input pressure, so as not to over inflate the tanks. This one, the engine runs the same speed all the time. It's not broken, just a terrible design. Of course, it doesn't matter too much because the input tube (plastic with ferrules) to the tank leaked so badly, it would barely make pressure to begin with. We had to fix that to get any CFM whatsoever. Which brings me to the CFM rating. It is an absolute lie. The CFM is very low - no where near the advertised output. The engine has an automatic choke system. Personally, I did not like it. The engine acts as if it's struggling, even when unloaded. Bottom line is, we used it for 2 jobs and I ended up replacing it with a DeWalt brand. It was about $300 more, but it is a night and day difference. My opinion is to spend the extra couple hundred bucks up front and buy a good compressor - ingersol, DEWalt, etc. This one is junk. I'm beyond my return date, so I'll have to yard sale this one. Bought this compressor last summer, it has been sitting in storage since. I went to use the compressor and it will not build pressure. It turns out the pump head has a leak. I have not used this compressor since I bought it. Is there a way I can return the pump for a new one?
