The machine does take it's time, but well worth it. Easy to hookup too. Quality of print is clear and good. Seams to be sturdy. I like it and would buy it again.

When I use the scan feature, it is completely silent! It's not the fastest printer, but adequate for how much I print. I was dubious about the liquid ink, but it was easy and did not leak out. Set up was easy. This is a handsome looking printer. I bought a canon (all black), which is the color I wanted, but I got it home and the copy function did not work so I had to return it. Funny thing is that the copy function of the Canon in the store on the same model did not work either when I tested it. So HP it is! Also, I was fairly certain that I needed a top loader to print my 110-pound card stock, and it works great. I didn't want a top loader, but I had to get one, and now I realize how easy it is to grab a piece of paper out of it when I need one. ... show more

Works as intended. My problem, and I didn't check this before purchase, is that it only scans one page at a time, meaning you have to lift the lid, place the page, scan, remove the page and repeat. So, I still run to office max or similar to do my scanning. The print quality is very good, the colors are true. It was a very easy set up and I like that I can print from my phone. If you are printing a multipage document, it is not fast but gets the job done in a reasonable timeframe. ... show more

It took much longer to setup than any printer I have ever purchased. After much effort and a few cuss words uttered I did manage to get it to print. I would not ever recommend this printer for a beginner. I had thought if I liked it I would purchase another for a family member as a Christmas gift, but it would be a nightmare for them as a novice. Earlier this year I purchased an Epson Ecotank that was much easier to set up and to use. I hate returning things, but I might be tempted with this one. ... show more

It is a nice wireless printer and the large tanks of ink may actually break the printer ink scam that has been going on for years and years. We shall see how long the tanks last and then what aftermarket ink can be used to lower the cost. Just make sure you use HP formulated ink. My only complaint is that the wireless only works in 2.4ghz and not 5.0ghz and the real catch is that you PC, laptop, tablet or phone has be be connected to the exact same 2.4ghz connection that the printer is connected to. If you have mesh system which provides both 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz you can not have you PC connected to the 5.0 and print to the 2.4 where the printer has to live. Bad software design! Another issue is the printer doesn't seem to remote start from anywhere on your network you first have to go to the printer and touch the on button to get it out of standby mode then you can print form anywhere.     • Oh Brother, where are tho?
I rarely write reviews as I don't have a lot of time, but this hunk o' junk has wasted so much of my precious time I feel compelled to use some more of it to warn others off about this product. As a company who includes printers in their top 3 product/revenue streams, this is a SHOCKINGLY poor quality device. To print from your phone (which I do A LOT) it appears you have to be connected to not just the same wifi network, but also have bluetooth AND location services enabled. I spent months not even being able to use this machine because I didn't realize I had to have those 2 additional features enabled on my phone in order to connect. I find this excessive and annoying as I do not like to keep those services enabled all the time. Also, with my older model Brother printer, I only had to have phone and printer connected to same wifi. My laptops (Lenovo Yoga with Windows 11 and an HP Pavillion with windows 10) frequently lose the connection to the printer. Had to do some weird, random IP address workaround to fix that. Though, I suspect it's not fixed for good. Nothing seems to work as expected for very long with this printer...This was never an issue with the older Brother printer I had. Set that one up once and it maintained connection for the duration. When it is connected, the printer frequently goes 'offline'/'unavailable' though the power is on and the wifi icon lit. I have had to power off/power on by unplugging, waiting a minute, plugging back in, then waiting for it to boot up before printing MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT. It is offline/unavailable more often than it is online/available via wifi. Again, not an issue with my Brother printer. Final complaint - this thing is slow. It takes forever. Lol, I literally just printed a page with one thin line to time this and it took 20 seconds to activate from when I hit the print button and my router, laptop and printer are all sitting on the same desk. Total time from hitting print button to output was 42 seconds. To print one thin line. In summary, this printer has been an absolute disaster for me. I am a consultant on fast paced/high stress software development projects and the last thing I have time for is a printer that doesn't work as expected more often than it does. Can't tell you how many times I've needed to print something for quick/easy reference and ended up spending over 30 minutes fighting with this printer to get it to do its job, or simply gave up because it never worked. 2 stars because, so far, I like the refillable tank feature, and in the rare event it works as expected, it prints clear. ... show more
