  • Great compact printer for basic tasks at an excellent price.
Color: Stone Style: HP DeskJet 3755
First off, the "What's in the Box" blurb on the page that I ordered from was incorrect: the printer does not come with a CD or a USB cable. It does come with the two necessary ink cartridges: one for color and one for black. That said, the CD is really not necessary, and I purchased a USB cable from Amazon for $8.99 which was delivered the next day. Setup was simple, following the very clear and easy instructions. Going online to 123.hp.com gets you to the software download, accomplished quickly in simple steps. I opted out of the automatic ink option, since this is a printer that will not be used frequently. After the connections and setup were done, the single test page printed, in color, very quickly. I also printed a page that was simply text - it printed very quickly (less than 5 seconds from hitting the "print" option on the app). There is a recent review as of this writing that complains that the printing is very slow, but I would guess that is a local software or connection problem, and not a problem with the printer, unless the unit is defective in some way. All in all very pleased with the footprint (it sits with room to spare on a 20" X 10" side table top), ease of use, functionality, quality, and value. Update 7-18-2023: Still a good, compact, reliable printer for light use and basic tasks. But I have it directly connected and dedicated to a single desktop computer, so I can't comment on the WiFi issues. I must modify my initial statement about how quickly it prints text - my first pages were MS-Word documents, and it worked flawlessly and fast. Printing text from PDF files is much slower, about 45 to 60 seconds per page. So not a printer I would recommend for high volume PDF file printing. ... show more

  • Decent printer for the price
This is a good wifi printer with a very small footprint. It takes very little space wherever you choose to set it up. It's finicky though and we had a hard time setting it up with my granddaughter's school district Chromebook. It goes through a lot of ink though (as do most printers). For a high school student's room or a college dorm room though, it fills the bill. ... show more

  • compact, versatile, Light-duty printer
Color: Blue Style: Printer
What primarily drew me to this printer was it’s compact size. I would describe this as a light-use, convenience printer/scanner. If you’re like me who doesn't print or scan much but still would like to have a machine on hand when needed, this will work just fine. As for looks, the design is clean and even nice to look at. The power supply is integrated inside so theres no bulky “power brick” attached to the power cable to clutter up the floor. There is also a USB cable option in case you don’t want to use a wireless connection. Unlike other multifunction printers, the scanner uses a feeding mechanism instead of a flatbed. I was a little wary of this at first but it scans or copies with good quality. it accepts various sizes of documents from full-size 8.5x11” to smaller pieces of paper like receipts or photographs. Considering it uses rollers to feed the document I’d exercise caution with brittle or fragile paper like old family photos. Print speed is about “average”. Color on regular settings on plain paper will take about 10-20 seconds and black and white about half of those times. Regular black and white text documents will print quickly. Higher quality photo settings with color are the slowest. Id recommend a better printer if you're looking for faster and frequent photo printing. The ink cartridges are small so this is definitely not a high capacity printer. As i stated earlier, if you infrequently print from time to time this will be sufficient. If you’re really worried about needing more ink HP sells high capacity cartridges. The wireless has worked flawlessly and was easy to set up. Ive found printing directly from my iPhone is SLOW. One standard print, even in black and white took almost 3 minutes. I usually never print from my phone but it’s nice to have the option. ... show more

  • a shinier, sleeker pile of garbage
Color: Stone Style: HP DeskJet 3755
The nicest thing I can say about this is that it is a more compact piece of [junk]. This is the thing with new devices, right? They look so much sleeker and sexier and more futuristic than "outdated" technology. My old MFD was an ugly, hulking monstrosity. However, all I had to do to use it was plug it into a power source and plug it into my computer and off we go on our merry way. It. Worked. This takes up possibly less than a quarter of the desk space and looks much nicer. You want to connect to it? Use the wireless direct network. Once you're connected, it will launch an app offering you a variety of services you never wanted, because all you want is to print a [redacted] checklist for an upcoming trip. You want to print, you have to connect to the internet. You connect to the internet, you are disconnected from your printer. Go ahead, try using the virtual assistant. Half an hour later, you will still be staring at the "One moment while I get read to chat" message. What is it exactly that a chatbot has to prepare for remains a mystery. It's okay, though, because you can also connect with your cell phone! All you have to do is download another app. Create another account. Give HP that sweet, sweet lucrative personal data. Get pressured yet. again. to sign up for their ink subscription service. Jesus, I miss my old monstrosity. Ugly, simple, and functional. Like that one type of person each of us has dated at some point, the HP DeskJet 3755 Compact All-in-One Wireless Printer is an attractive, useless disaster. It exists to make the things in your life that once were simple into an unending nightmare, while simultaneously trying to maximize the value it can leech out of you. I have not yet succeeded in printing a single thing. It's like the sleeker companies make the product design, the more of a nightmare the UX is. Edit: Finally ordered a cable--separately (remember when printers actually came with the cables you need to connect them to a computer?). Got the printer to work. Print quality is low and you can print maybe fifteen pages on each fresh toner cartridges. Apparently, HP's zeal for manipulating you into their ink subscription service is so avid that they're more than happy to maximize the amount of hazardous waste generated by an endless series of ridiculously undersized toner cartridges. WHAT IS THIS, A TONER CARTRIDGE FOR ANTS? ... show more
