  • It is a good book but......
I bought this book hoping that it would be a good reference book to keep and add to my library.. The overall information is good but not very organized, I find it funny when he suggests using octane boosters and fuel injection tuning with a masking tape wrapped around the throttle grip, I would like to believe that the author has never actually dyno tuned a bike on a dyno machine... (and yes that is what I do for a living). Awesome book for beginners, keyboard jockeys and forum surfers . ... show more

  • Good general EFI overview but not technically detailed
Good general overview on EFI but not really that detailed on the electronics end of things. It felt more like an instruction manual for power commanders and equivalent tuner boxes. I was hoping for more electronics nitty gritty details, like CAN bus interface, and building your own stuff. It's a fun, easy read though, I powered through it in an afternoon. ... show more

  • Motorcycle Mechanic Musthave !
If there is a more modern or better book on the subject i'd like to know.I have read this book twice and use it to refer to all the time. It's a must have for all trainee motorcycle mechanics and for the enthusiast it is not a lot of money to own this very educational book.

  • Good if you know only carbs and points and want to learn FI etc
If one grew up in the carbs and points days and hasn't learned anything about FI this book will help you alot...but if you have been around EFI then I don't think you are going to learn much...not much in there you can directly apply to improve your bike...if you just stare at your problematic FI system now at least you would know where to start by using this book...but the service manual for your specific bike would be WAY more effective to use to fix any problem... ... show more
