    • Bizarre Wrapping - BTU Output Seems Right

Just got this today & have to comment on the product wrapping. It was covered in a blue, clingi type wrapping which was a challenge to get off. Once I started I realized they covered the bottom part first and the top part second. So the plastic was not just on the outside but under the overlapping top. Of course it had to be removed since the device will get very hot so I had to remove 16 screws, including the front controls, and remove the top to completely to remove all the plastic. Putting the top back on was a challenge as both top & bottom are thin metal and getting them to meet and match up the screw holes took some time. None of this was mentioned in the owners manual. The whole process took me about an hour. No idea what would make a manufacturer do this. Somebody was not thinking. I had to give it 3 stars just for the irritation. I tested it out using a large pot with about 0.5 gal of water. Brought it to a boil in 15 min so it seems the output is what was promised. We'll see about reliability. ... show more

There’s a outdoor LP quick connect on my RV that I’ve never used. One of my RV buddies has turned his outdoor kitchen to become a full size kitchen so all the smokes and greases will not mess up the inside of his RV. I’d then start looking for a single burner LP stove and found this great unit. It’s built very sturdy and small enough to fit in the drawer of my outdoor kitchen.
