Description

Diesel Extreme Clean & Boost is a fully formulated and concentrated fuel system cleaner and engine cleaner. Designed to remove deposits and improve the performance of all types of diesel engines, from semi-trucks to RV's, this diesel injector cleaner removes all internal diesel injector deposits (IDID's) and external diesel injector deposits (EDID's) as well as waxy and polymeric deposits that can clog the fuel filter. Our powerful diesel additive and fuel cleaner cleans out injector tips, cylinders, fuel lines and tanks, all while dispersing moisture to deliver a more efficient system. Once the fuel system is clean, Diesel Extreme contains several premium additives to enhance performance. A cetane boost can improve cetane ratings by 7 points for better combustibility, fuel economy and horsepower. With improved combustibility, you can reduce the number of diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration cycles required. Own a 00 f250 (7.3) in mint condition, also a 07.4 Duramax lbz, also mint. I used hot shot whatever this is to compare to the Grey bottled formula diesel keen from power service products.. They even smell identical, exactly the same color and the same results. I have used diesel kleen for fifteen years. No exaggeration. The good news is, this hot shots secret whatever, it does work. I can attest to good throttle response, quieter injectors and less valve rattle in both diesels I own.. However, there's no noticeable difference between hot shots and diesel kleen in the gray bottle that I can vouch for, even on my scan tool. Both products contain cetane and lubricity additives. In short, the product works as stated but to me, it doesn't live up to the hype from the duramax crowd. For the money and ease of locating additives locally and can be found in most all stores, I'll likely continue to use diesel kleen. Sorry but I just can't see the hype for this, and good luck finding this at a store near you. FYI - Injector balance rates on my duramax lbz were identical before and after use of this product, as are diesel kleen results identically. But, they were no worse, either. Remember, it will pep up throttle response slightly and shut up diesel rattle by 30 or 40 percent on both my diesels. That's a fact. ... show more

I don’t write many reviews. A product has to be great or really suck for me to post. I bought this to improve the performance and mileage for two vehicles, a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Eco Diesel and a 2008 Chevy Silverado crew cab long bed Duramax diesel. I really did not expect or notice any change with the Wrangler. It made a whopping difference to the Silverado’s performance and MPG. I punch it and it roars and accelerates almost like new. I’d conservatively estimate that it boosted my MPG by 15%! That is significant savings with diesel fuel @ $4 a gallon! Will continue to add it every six months to both my vehicles. I used this on my 01 F350 and it improved my 70mph fuel from 13.1mpg to 14.7mpg. Now with that said I did also use the HotShots Stiction Treatment at the same time. The Hot Shot Diesel Extreme Clean and Boost restored a smooth idle on my Mercedes Benz 240D. The product cleaned the diesel injectors and the missing disappeared. Other popular diesel injector cleaners had not worked. I tested the car on a long, steady climb. Before treating the car with the Hot Shot product, top speed was 47 miles per hour. The car has only 65 horsepower. After treatment, I got up to 60 mph. I am sensitive to the feel and sounds of the old Mercedes and I could tell the clogged injectors had been unclogged.
