Description

Hot Shot’s Secret Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is a premium cold-weather diesel fuel additive that is formulated to greatly improve cold weather operability and protect against freeze-ups and plugged fuel filters. Cold temperatures present multiple issues for diesel owners. At lower temperatures, diesel fuel does not want to ignite causing cold starting problems, rough running engines and excessive black smoke. Diesel Fuel also contains wax molecules that thicken in cold weather, clogging fuel lines and filters. Plugged filters cause the engine to be starved of fuel and it will not operate. Diesel Winter Anti-Gel prevents this wax from clogging fuel lines and filters by using wax modifiers and wax anti-settling agents to keep the wax particles small and suspended. It also contains a military grade water dispersant and is scientifically proven to: Lower diesel fuel’s pour point to -65 °F Prevent fuel line freeze-ups down to -40 °F Boost cetane up to 5 points Improve cold starts

I have 5 diesel trucks, use this in them all, and the winter anti-gel even in all my red diesel for my construction equipment, can’t ask for better. Only complaint (though still 5 stars) is they sell it as a 1 gallon like the summer blend but it comes in two 1/2 gallon jugs. It works the same, just easier to misplace them for me. I’m sure I have 4-5 of these 1/2 gallon jugs sitting around places and have to keep reordering it because I lose track of the 2nd bottle then by the time the new order gets here I find it. The smaller bottles. Not the one time use but the one with the measuring thing in it leaks, I love those, and wish they didn’t as I’d get those even though they are more expensive for the tool box but they always leak immediately. Wish I had an easy way to measure. As right now I just “guess” and I a mm 100% sure I do a 2x or 3x dose. ... show more

I’ve had to take over the typical homeowner chores since my husband became disabled. I didn’t know that and additive was needed for the lawn tractor diesel fuel. That is, until we went thru a long stretch of sub zero temperatures and the tractor wouldn’t start. Wish I’d have known before the fuel turned to gel. My truck gelled up twice this past winter, tried a couple others and they didn’t work. One of my friends suggested this and we hit negative 33 and had no issues with the fuel. Definitely would recommend and worth the money!
