Description

Diesel Extreme Clean & Boost is a fully formulated and concentrated fuel system cleaner and engine cleaner. Designed to remove deposits and improve the performance of all types of diesel engines, from semi-trucks to RV's, this diesel injector cleaner removes all internal diesel injector deposits (IDID's) and external diesel injector deposits (EDID's) as well as waxy and polymeric deposits that can clog the fuel filter. Our powerful diesel additive and fuel cleaner cleans out injector tips, cylinders, fuel lines and tanks, all while dispersing moisture to deliver a more efficient system. Once the fuel system is clean, Diesel Extreme contains several premium additives to enhance performance. A cetane boost can improve cetane ratings by 7 points for better combustibility, fuel economy and horsepower. With improved combustibility, you can reduce the number of diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration cycles required. At 6,000 miles, I added Diesel Extreme to my new RAM 2500 Cummins 6.7. The truck is new, so I was not expecting any noticeable changes in performance, but wow, what a difference! On a trip home from camping, I added the specified amount of Diesel Extreme to my tank. When it came time to refuel again, I added EDT (I use it on every fill-up) and got back on the road. As I was driving, I realized the truck felt like it was running smoother and had a little extra power. I was thinking about this for quite a few miles, because I wanted to be sure I wasn't imagining an improvement. Well, I'm convinced there was a substantial improvement. I believe there was a 1-2 MPG increase and that seems to be a repeating pattern on each fill-up. I still notice more engine smoothness and a small bump in power. Whatever the case, one tank of diesel with Diesel Extreme cleared up my fuel system and increased performance. I was not expecting this, not at all! The Hot Shot Diesel Extreme Clean and Boost restored a smooth idle on my Mercedes Benz 240D. The product cleaned the diesel injectors and the missing disappeared. Other popular diesel injector cleaners had not worked. I tested the car on a long, steady climb. Before treating the car with the Hot Shot product, top speed was 47 miles per hour. The car has only 65 horsepower. After treatment, I got up to 60 mph. I am sensitive to the feel and sounds of the old Mercedes and I could tell the clogged injectors had been unclogged. I have a 1st gen cummins engine that sat for 14 years in my shop. I recently got it running and it was ok for the first week, then it started smoking really bad at start up. Smoke would go away once it warmed up. I thought I had an air intrusion issue at first but it never went away at start up. I had a suspicion and was hopeful that my injectors were leaking down overnight, and that it wasnt my injection pump going bad. I put this product in with a full tank and at first it started to run worse. I was planning to drain my fuel tank and flush it out, but decided to let it sit for a few days to break up whatever might be stuck in the injector tips. I started driving it again after letting it sit and within 50 miles the engine sounds alot smoother and does not smoke anymore at start up. I notice a huge difference! Iam very satisfied with this product. My advice is to add the recommended amount then drive it to mix the cleaner in, then let it sit for a few days. Worked for me! ... show more

Used this in my 2008 Dodge 2500 and it seems to have increased the avg. MPG by 2. Nothing else has changed with the vehicle. Would attribute this to cleaning the injectors.
