Hot Racing optional upgrade heavy duty splined star drive axle kit for the TRA 4WD electric Stampede, Slash, Rustler FEATURES: - CNC machined 45 hardened carbon steel, S2 spring steel and Aluminum construction - Replaces factory plastic drive axles - Hard Black Anodized Aluminum Slider - Blue anodized aluminum pin capture rings with rubber o-rings to prevent movement - Design eliminated CV pin setscrew - Hardened S2 Spring steel wheel shaft - 45 Steel is black finish S2 spring in Brown finish - Rubber dust boot to keep the Splined Drive for maximum protection against the elements YOU WILL RECEIVE: - Two (2) Front Cv Splined Drive Shaft spline CVD shaft assemblies - Two (2) M4x2.5x11mm screw shafts REQUIREMENTS: - Installation - Removable thread lock (blue threadlocking compound) on screws threading into metal - Light grease for CV joints and shaft slider splines helps maintain their longevity SPECIFICATIONS: - Approximate overall collapsed length: 112mm COMMENTS: - Replaces factory plastic TRA parts - Replacement parts include: SLD425 (M4x2.5x11mm screw shafts) description revised by: SN October 10, 2018

Everything else Hot Racing makes is great. These axles aren't. I primarily run my truck on the street in my neighborhood or in the grass at the park. To get a replacement you have to pay 50% for the replacement part, which requires you to give the company your credit card number on a written form. For $60 a pair I should have gotten more than three weeks and roughly 5 runs through the neighborhood ... show more

Love these they where the only ones that I could find that will hold up. Running 3s with speed gearing and the only probably I have had was the one set screw comming out.

High quality product. If you break axles, these are for you. Light weight, strong and the rubbers keep the debris out. One of the best axles I have used.

    • Broke a front axel in my driveway doing a wheelie.

I'm not impressed with this being that I paid almost $100 for all four axels. I would understand if I was bashing or running into curbs...but doing a wheelie in my yard REALLY! I won't be using these anymore.
