I do some woodworking as a hobby in my retirement and in the space of about 3 years have accumulated some 60+ clamps! Now you might think that that is way too many, but gentle reader that is not the case. I like to make end-grain cutting boards..so sometimes I need as many as 50 clamps in order to condense the time it takes to glue all the components of the boards I'm making. I like these because I need a disproportionately larger number of the 6" - 12" clamps to do this work. These are the right size, are comfortable in my hands, and are reasonably priced. I've been using similar clamps made by other brands for years, but over time the clamps are broken down one by one. Very disappointing. But the replacement cost is quite expensive, but can't work without the clamps. I found this set. It contains six bar clamps and two spring clamps. Spring clamps are bonus to me. It is way cheaper, but it feels good in my hand, and it works just as good as my old clamps. To me this is a better cost-effective investment for a good set of tools. When all the old clamps finally die, I will buy this model again for replacement. I own this set for about 5 months, not long enough for a fair comparison (to my old clamps). Less expensive than other popular brands. They do not seem to work as easily as others but perform their function and hold the work well. Clamps cost a lot so you can save some money.
