  • Find the Custom Grade Dies You Need - these precision dies give the handloader more control over the loading process. The built-in taper crimp eliminates the need for a separate crimping die.
  • Full Length Sizer Die - features a Zip Spindle, with a series of light threads cut on the spindle and spindle collet. This eliminates spindle slippage and makes tightening the spindle lock a breeze when making adjustments
  • Seating Die - the floating bullet alignment sleeve and stem improve bullet seating and accuracy by pre-aligning the bullet and case before seating. The Hornady bullet seating die also applies a crimp to secure the bullet in the case
  • Precise Machining for Accurate Reloading - Hornady reloading dies are designed for a true match to your chamber. Keep several appropriate Hornady die sets for each caliber size at your reloading bench. I reload and accidentally failed to lubricate a brass case (my bad) and got it stuck in the sizer die. Efforts to remove the case myself failed and the cost to have a machinist remove it was far more than just replacing the dies set. Hornady makes great quality dies.

After receiving, they were cleaned and set up ready for use. Did a quick de-cap and resizing of +-50 rounds. Zero issues. Always have been please with Hornady.

Does the trick. No issues with it. Make sure after you clean it with degreaser you oil it back up. I do prefer RCBS does at this point though after using both.

If you want dies and don’t have specific dies from a specific brand for a specific set of reasons, you want Hornady dies. They make a great dues. First, they make the best lock rings. They are split nut type. They are grabbing the threads concentrically. Literally, I buy these for my custom dies too! The FL dies are short enough to bump the shoulder well. They are smooth. The threaded collet can be locked read center. The expander doesn’t pull necks. I do wish they offered some minus expanders, but almost nobody does. The seaters are really concentric and easy to adjust. I actually prefer the Hornady adjustment to a micrometer. It would be nice if they had a longer sliding sleeve. The only thing better are Hornady bushing dies. That said, you really don’t need those most of the time. ... show more
