I found a spade several years ago for $5 at a rummage sale. It's my favourite gardner's tool, EVER. I bought this one bc my son took off with mine for months!! I honestly didn't think I'd find another that I liked but this one is a close 1st. The handle has a cushioned grip. The foot plates at the top are corrugated so less slippage and a bit longer.
