This set of small garden tools has really helped with my small landscaping projects. The handles are well-sized and smartly angled in relation to the tool ends, accommodating comfortable usage with different grips. The larger trowel has been my go-to for most jobs. This is a nice set of gardening hand tools. They are painted a nice matte black, which should help to resist rust. The handles are good size and comfortable to hold. They have a slight texture to the rubbery material. The smaller trowel has depth measurements stamped into the material, which is great, but they are quite hard to read. It seems I go through a set of garden tools like these every year. I have been buying them by price more than quality, and that may account for my experience. The price point of these is a bit more than I usually had paid in the past, so I thought I would upgrade a bit. These are definitely a step up from what one finds at your supermarket or drug store. The metal seems sturdier and the handles are more padded and thus more comfortable. The angle of the shovel seems different from what I am used to, but posed no problem. They appear to be well built and feel good in the hand. The rubber grips are soft enough to be comfortable and large enough to fit most hands and feel secure. I like the measuring on the trowel but a bit hard to read in the garden - would be nice to have measurements on both sides of it. The transplanter and cultivator are what I would consider to be standard size and work well. My only hesitation is their "optimal" angle feels weird to me. I've had a number of Ames tools and like their feel and versatility a bit more. However, these are fairly inexpensive as a set and I'll use them until I break or lose them. ... show more

I have bought several 3-piece sets of gardening tools like this over the years (with cultivator, transplanter, and wide trowel). This set isn't the very highest quality, but it's up there towards the top. These seem fairly sturdy and substantial. The steel is perhaps slightly thinner than I was expecting, but I do believe they would hold up to heavy digging without breaking. The plastic handles seem sturdy and are comfortable to hold when digging. Overall, I am happy with this set and would recommend these gardening tools. ... show more

This set of 3 gardening tools came nicely packaged and are good quality. They're comfortable to hold and have an indentation for your thumb on the handle. The handles are coated in rubber and have a hole on the end for hanging. These tools have more of an angle than my other garden tools, so we'll see how they function when digging. The description says it's the optimal shovel angle. These tools have no sharp edges and should last a long time. They'd make a nice gift for the gardener in your life.     • Durable and Comfortable to use
These are excellent garden tools. I have used them to transplant seedlings and also sow seeds directly in the ground. They have a very comfortable grip and a thick durable black coating on the metal. Better quality than I was expecting at this price point.
