  • Nice Binoculars.
Color: HD Army Green
Very light with nice optics, waterproof is a plus. The compass is extremely handy when sharing the binoculars with someone else.

  • OK binos. the compass is useful, the rangefinder is useless.
Color: Army Black
I have two sets of binocs on my boat. These and a pair of Steiner Navigator Pros I bought used. The Steiners are razor sharp, these are OK, but not close to the Steiners. The compass is actually useful when steering a course. Look at a navigational buoy, get the heading and you are ahead of the game. I'm not sure what the purpose of the rangefinder is. It takes up room in the eye piece, I have never used it. I keep the Hooway binocs because it 's another pair people can use to look at seals, birds, etc. But when the chips are down and you need the best, out come the Steiners. I rarely let anyone else use them. I have them dialed in to my eyes and glasses. I don't want anyone else messing them up. ... show more

  • So far out of the box I am impressed
Color: Army Yellow
I just unboxed my Hooway 7x50 waterproof, fog proof military marine binoculars and so far I like what I see. The distance feature seems confusing uses too much math for formulas for my liking. I also removed the illumination batteries from the binoculars as I doing want them leaking and messing up the unit. I placed them in a small plastic baggie and put them in the case so if they leak they won't ruin the binoculars. I like the eye glass feature for people wearing glasses as well the ability to individually adjust each eye's focus values. They seem very well made and solid. Also comes with a decent case, strap for case, strap for binoculars and a small instruction manual. I had yet to try and see if they float in water as advertised. I will be using these on our new 38' motor yacht as we cruise southwest FL and the keys. I like the cross hair feature in the viewing glass too. Would probably buy these again. ... show more

  • Good solid binocular for the price
Color: Army Black
The binoculars are clear and have good value for the money. They are on a large size and a little heavy. They look and feel like a pair of Steiner binoculars. The package comes with 1x binoculars, 1x hi viz yellow strap, 1x case, 2x spare batteries, and a lens cloth. The binoculars have a detachable eyepieces cap and 2 attached front lens caps. The front pivot had a cap which when you remove shows the socket for mounting to a tripod. The lens are focus-free. This means that you won’t have a focus ring in the middle of the binoculars. You need to adjust individual lens to match your eyesight by looking at a distant object and focus the eye pieces one at a time until the object is in focus. Make a note on where your setting are. This can come handy later. This means sharing the binoculars can be a little tricky - especially with someone who is not familiar with how it works. The lens is bright. I can see clearly during the day time as well as at night (not night vision). The lens are clear in the middle but become a little fuzzy on the edge. The binoculars also come with built in compass and rangefinder scales. Both of them are very legible They can be lighted up at night. The compass is stable and usable - I didn’t test its accuracy. I got the with 20% coupon so with sales tax, it costs me almost $100 in 2023. IMHO. It is a good value. Rugged enough to share with others on a trip - as long as you know hot to adjust it for others. The focus free is a nice feature. Its size and weight is on a little large and heavy side. But you get a nice bright big lens in return. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Binoculars with very good Reviews by Marine experts. The truth is that these are very good, they have a good weight, good definition, easy to use, they come with excellent protection to store as well as a very nice belt to carry around your neck.
