I've ordered 2 set of hooshion shocks now. And both came with different unidentified spring weights. For this project I had to use the springs from the 108mm shocks (that were softer) and cut them to length for the 85mm shocks came with very stiff springs so that I could get my buggy to ride right. I am happy with the shocks on my project at this point but I double checked the listing and neither set of shocks lable the spring weight. Product would be improved with spring options or at least consistent spring weights. Barrels and assembly are good though. ... show more

Good replacement for the price but needs better o rings or 1 more added to control fluid leaks. Really like the springs they come with, super stiff.

The shocks were very well constructed they just did not have oil in them so you have to purchase oil and filled them yourselves

    • All leaked oil everywhere. Rebuild did not help.

All four shocks leaked oil before I even used them on my rccar. Never had this problem on any other brand shock. I rebuilt them hoping it was just an assembly problem from the factory. They just have low quality components. Each day they left a huge mess on my workbench and rccar from leaking all night. Returning. My old leftover plastic Tamiya shocks leak less. ... show more

Considering these go on a light beginner RC car they are absolutely amazing, but I used a set on my Traxxas Rustler VXL 4wd 1/10 scale which is a extremely powerful 65+mph car and they still hold up amazing and perform just amazing. The only downside is the plastic mounting point on the top, but when on the hoism they will never break. Definitely 5 star product ... show more

I tried to get a good photo but my hands get covered with oil every time I touch these things. Hopefully you can see the oil buildup on the bottom shafts. This is just from attempting to fill them and the cardboard box in the background had no marks when I started to work with these. The mess isn’t from me fussing about either. First off they are not “oil filled” because they did not come with oil. Every shock is just pouring oil out the bottom seal. These are the first shocks I have ever tested that you could audibly hear the oil squirting out of them. I rebuilt these things 3-4 times hoping they would work but they just don’t. My search for an inexpensive “oil filled” shock continues. Don’t waste your time or money. I have lost more $$$ worth of shock oil than I paid for these in 2 days just from them dripping everywhere and they haven’t even been on a car yet!!! In the bin they go and my search continues. If your looking for an “inexpensive” oil filled shock around this size buy Wltoys 12019 or 12017 replacements. They are a little shorter than the 85mm’s but hold oil and come with oil. They can take a decent bashing too. Just by looking at the initial reviews I thought these were 50/50 but I’m making more money off of my videos searching for a true set of budget brand oil filled shocks. These are definitely not them. I read the reviews before I purchased them. People said it leaks and no oil in it. I noticed that the parts were not screwed tighten enough. Therefore I decided to disassemble all the shocks when I got them and put an oil, then put them back together. Now they don't leak and work as it should so far. ... show more
