Overall these are nice shorts that have a nice feel. I got these for my son since he has outgrown most of his shorts and these shorts are lightweight (unlike his old shorts). Since he got a phone, he prefers pockets with zippers to keep his phone safely stowed away. The seller shows a phone stowed in the leg pocket with a flap secured by a hook and loop tab. The only problem I found was a phone really didn't fit. My photos show an iPhone 14Pro Max and an iPhone 14Pro. The Max doesn't allow the leg pocket flap to close at all. The 14Pro kind of closes but I wouldn't trust it to stay that way. If you have a smaller phone then it shouldn't be an issue. Both phones easily fit inside the zippered hand pockets and this is my preferred pocket to keep it in since it is zippered. They are a great pair of shorts, especially for the price. ... show more

I ordered size 5/6 for my four-year-old who typically wears a 4T or 5T. These are super huge, both in width and length, almost like very baggy capri pants. My husband called them skater shorts. These are nice quality although they do run a bit big. My son usually wears a size 6 pants and I got the 5-6 in these. They are quite long and big so I think I could have sized down a full size and they would have fit better. They do have a drawstring inside to tighten them so they will work and last quite a while. I got this for my 10 year old who is much taller then average, to give you an idea he has a slender build but is 5' and about 100lbs. I got the largest size they had and it does fit but was a little small for my taste. This will do for the next few months before snow hits the ground and then we'll have to hand this down to someone younger. The pockets are well made and deep, pants and material it self are of a decent quality. This is perfect for my son who is very active and sweats a lot when he's out and about. I haven't washed them yet so I can't speak to the stain resistance of the fabric but I expect it to be like any other active apparel.
