Needed to get something quick as I just moved in to a new place and didn't have anything. Fam bought me proper ones later. So for me, this is a good temporary plates. Very beautiful plastic wear. Color selection is nice. Inexpensive but still complete. Should be safe to put in a dishwasher. Handwashes it but like other plastic wear. Might need to scrub it twice cause it can still be slippery after the first wash. Will use it during travels as its easier to store. ... show more

I had really thought ordering these would be thin. But it made my expectations of this product. Change my mind. We love them. My husband and I are seniors and having these help a lot. Specially in the microwave. So I highly recommend them! The colors are pretty too.

I was afraid they would stain but they do not. The tomato soup that I heated up in the bowls washed away completely. These dishes are safe for seniors and children alike. I picked these up for a few reasons- First, I absolutely LOVE the color! I'm person they are even more bright, vivid and beautiful than they are in the pics! I was amazed too because I have ran these through the dishwasher several times and the color doesn't seem to fade. Not sure if they will in the future at some point, but 2 months in and these still look BRAND SPANKIN NEW! Next, I really wanted a nice, cohesive set that I could use outside and around the pool over the summer. We entertain A LOT. Even in ths winter people are always here, but the summer is nuts! We have worked very hard to turn our backyard into our own little oaisis. We have an outdoor kitchen, which since it's christening, has usually been stocked with paper plates or the cheep plastic plates from Ta*get that I replace at least 3x a summer. I figured that these would be absolutely perfect, as I could keep them in the outside cabinets and don't have to worry about broken glass in/around the pool or areas that are usually enjoyed barefoot. Seeing I found these in the beginning of winter, they didn't make it out to the pool, and this set probably won't. You see, when these arrived and I opened the box to check them out, I immediately fell in love. I figured I would try them out inside first. Now, I'm obsessed with this set and it's not leaving my kitchen or going anywhere! I ended up ordering TWO more sets (one more of the Memphis Series and a set of the Pink Flower. Cant help it- the price is VERY right!) Memphis is ready to go outside as soon as the weather gets better and the pink is my back up set- just incase. Yes, I love the colors. I absolutely adore the fun patterns on the pieces too. Looking at them makes me happy. They are SO EASY to hand wash and I love that they can handle the dishwasher like a champ too. But I actually NEEDED these! I have been having problems with my hands for the past several months. Sometimes I just drop stuff, sometimes I have zero strength. My dinnerware set is beautiful, but it's REALLY heavy. I've already lost 2 dinner plates and a soup bowl because of my hands and 2 replacement pieces cost just a few dollars less than this whole set! I can drop these all I want. I can probably even send one, Frisbee style, directly at an oncoming Mack truck and it would be unscathed. This set is easy to handle, light weight (but still VERY solid/durable) and right now- it just makes sense. The polypropylene, plastic and straw combo, in my opinion, is way better and safer than plastic alone. These don't really feel or look like plastic, they don't warp, bend or get wavy like plastic (after the dishwasher) and these don't cut like plastic either! 2 months into daily service, with steak knives cutting through the food and onto the plate, they still look NEW! How long will that last? I'm not sure, but it's pretty amazing that they still look perfect! The biggest shocker overall? THE PRICE! If someone handed me a piece of this set and asked me to guess the price per piece, I would easily guess $4-$5 per and all 40 pieces- $60...easy! I really can't get over ths fact that this 40 piece set (there is A LOT here!!) is not even $40! I would insist someone was lying and probably ask to see receipts if they told me each piece cost less than $1! Even the (terrible compared to these- in every way) Tar*et cheepies cost more. Yes, I am aware that there are several sets like this floating around Amazon. I tried one a few years ago and we used it for maybe 2 weeks before it went in the trash. I've also seen some of the other options while we were being entertained at friends. Again, you can tell they cost less because they were no good. So not only do you get more, but the quality is better too! Is this the longest review ever of a plastic/straw dinnerware set? - Probably. Is every word the truth and coming from the heart? -ABSOLUTELY! I just get so excited when I find a WIN like this that I want to tell everyone, every little thing about it! There is a lot of plasticware in this set. There is enough to fill my dishwasher in fact. I really like the fact that everything is unbreakable. I find the earth tone colors fit into my style of kitchen and home decor. To me, these dishes are more for picnic outings or large gatherings of more casual settings or maybe a Church gathering, not everyday usage. If you have young children where you are concerned about finer china or dishes safety then these dishes may be appropriate, these are tough. I have tapped them on the counter top to remove excessive water and they just bounce, you may have to hit them with a hammer to break them, if that is even going to do it. They had no problem in the dishwasher at all. I will use them when I have too many people over to sit at the main table and have the “kids” table area, I feel sure these dishes are kid proof - that’s tough. Edit to say… now that I have owned this plastic ware a few weeks, I use it daily. It’s so easy to deal with and so durable that it has become my - go to - plate and bowl choice. Leftovers are simple to reheat and this set of dishes is so tough, you could use the plates as frisbees and take them into the kitchen to use afterwards. Toss them into the sink or throw them in the sink, I don’t think you can hurt this stuff. Very easy to use every day. Just thought I should update my experience. ... show more
