We received the sofa today, two days ahead of schedule. The delivery company called & verified time and they were spot on. We live in a rural area and the driver handcarted the box down our sloped driveway rather than drive down. He brought it all the way into our entry way where I told him that was good. The sofa was boxed and wrapped VERY securely with extra packaging around the edges and lot of tape. The sofa was undamaged. I was pleased with the color right out of the box. It was exactly as pictured on Amazon. The only trouble we had was putting on the "ears" onto the backs but finally got it. The backs went on easily and the feet are padded a bit so no extra little pads on the floor will be needed. The recliner mechanism is easy to use and pops right out for the first reclining position. It's a bit more difficult to go fully back but it's comfy once you do. I didn't find returning to the upright position that difficult although it did take some leg power. I'm only 5' 2" so maybe a longer legged person wouldn't find it as difficult as I did. It looks great in the front room and just what I wanted. We'll see in time how it holds up. We don't have kids or pets so I'm assuminig it will last a great long time. This was the first large piece of furniture I've purchased online and I'm happy with the entire process. Like others said, it came shipped in a box. That was actually very convenient for me being that I live on the second floor of an apartment building. The box fit more easily in the elevator and into the doorway than it would have if it were assembled. It comes in 6 pieces - the long bottom part, 3 seat backs which slide easily into the bottom, and 2 "ears", which slide onto the sides of the seat backs. The assembly is a breeze, even though the included instructions aren't especially clear. It took me a minute to figure out that the "ears" slide onto the seat backs and lock into place. The couch itself is very comfy! The arms and headrests are plush, and the cushions are soft but firm enough that you don't completely sink into them. The recliner has 2 stages, the first brings out the leg rest and the second reclines further back. The seats are pretty flat, so it's good for laying down across it as well. Can't think of anything bad to say about it, I'm very happy with this couch! Updated: Ok, I can say two bad things about it. Still not changing my rating though because this is a nice couch for the price. First thing is, some people might not like the reclining mechanism. It pops out very fast, and can be difficult to close. It doesn't bother me, but it has bothered guests. Secondly, the area where you put your feet after it reclines is a bit flimsy. I broke mine on one side after leaning on it. It's just foam cushion held by thin fabric and a zipper. I stuffed the cushion back in and duct taped it, and it's holding up fine. Loveseat is beautiful and very soft. Delivery was quick. Freight crew unloaded the box in the garage and said they don't set it up. My husband put it together and it was fairly easy. The problem is the comfort. The footrest is low and uneven with the body. The footrest is very difficult to close. I tend to sleep in my recliner so comfort is important. The one I have from Big Lots is much more comfortable. I have contacted Amazon for a return. We will see how this process goes. ... show more

I bought this in December 2013. It was just what I wanted, comfortable, convenient with it's cup holders and storage space. I loved it and would have given it 5 stars until a little more than a year later. In February 2015, the springs started popping on the seats. It started to get very uncomfortable and I thought I'd try to fix that somehow, but never got around to it. By July 2015 both seats seams began to rip and last week, a bar that connects to one of the foot rests broke. This was all through normal use in less than two years. I know that for less than $1000 it was pretty inexpensive, but I didn't think it would be so cheap to last only a year. The pictures show the tear with the springs popping out, the tilt of the couch because of the broken piece underneath, and the broken piece underneath. ... show more

I purchased the glider loveseat with console on August 1, 2014. If you had asked me when it first arrived, I would have given it four stars. It was very comfortable, and seemed like it was well built. My only complaint, would have been that it is very difficult to close the foot rest. Six months later, however the center cushion of one of the foot rests fill out. We tried several times to shove it back in, but eventually just gave up and didn't really do anything about it. Now two years later, in the same portion of the couch, a spring has popped loose where you sit. We are now sitting on a lump. This is certainly not comfortable! Unfortunately, when I contacted the manufacturer (which was really hard to do because funding the number was not easy! I've included it at the bottom of this review) she literally told me that because it's been two years there's nothing they can do. She also stated, "yes, well that happens." When I informed her that I was going to be leaving a negative review on Amazon, her tune changed. She tried to direct me to a local store to purchase replacement parts. She could not find a local store in my zip code, so tried to direct me to a whole sale store in Texas. They, however, directed me right back to the manufacturer. So I guess we're out of luck. The couch is comfortable and looks quite nice, but just did not last. So I cannot say that I would recommend. Below is the number for the manufacturer in case you would also like to make a complaint.
