OK. If you are handy you can do this. If not pay the $120 to have it put together for you. It will look like a $800+ piece when it's assembled. I took my time and spent about 6 hrs over two evenings and a few beers, although someone who does it a lot could do it in 2 hours. It fits great in a smaller kitchen that needs some counter space and storage. The drawers are minimal so don't expect much, but the cabinet space is more valuable anyway! I got black with black granite as I have dark granite already and read the reviews of people who got wood or stainless tops and wished they'd payed for the granite. Tools: drill or electric screw driver for Phillips head screws and Allen wrench bit. My drill has a clutch on it so it won't tighten too much and crack the wood. If yours doesn't then tighten the last bit by hand. I used "liquid nails" or glue of choice on any part that has male to female wood dowels. This way it will never get wobbly or weak. If you do this it is permanent and you have to act fairly quickly when assembling your part. As other reviewers have stated: take your time and follow directions step by step. This was my first furniture assembly. If you don't you could make a mess of this if you use any kind of glue. I found that everything worked as directed. Drawers are harder to put together, but only because it is tedious. I have two tips: 1) the instructions tell you to put both (two locking wheels) on front. I put one in front and one in opposite side back for more stopping power. 2) I had the same problem lots have had with the drawers scrubbing / too close to the granite top. I used round felt adhesive barstool floor protectors (Amazon or any hardware store) cut in half on each corner. Then place your granite on top and Wollah the drawers slide perfect. It is literally only 1/8" off out of the box. As for packaging, they arrived good. Two Very heavy boxes. The granite was boxed inside styrofoam with wood surround. Not one chip despite the crumpled corners of the box. The cabinet comes from Indonesia and the granite from China. Not for sure it's granite but it is heavy and nice. One last and important tip : the back is the most difficult to assemble and the top back stretch... Or easier ...just the top back wood piece, assembles counter intuitively with no help from directions. There is a counter sunk hole for a bolt in the middle that you would think goes inside the cabinet. It should face the outside of the cabinet, but by the time I realized my glue was locked tight. They supply wooden dowels for the counter sinks to hide the bolts on the outside of the cabinet. Lastly, as for all the complaints about missing parts, I must say... All parts with one extra of each were individually wrapped and labeled. I was thoroughly impressed as my wife and I went through the parts and diligently checked them off the instruction sheet before starting assembly. This is a great island for the money. Being 77 yrs old, I have assembled a bit of furniture in my life. (IKEA, Wayfair, etc.) I was concerned about some of the reviews (not many) that were less than favorable. The 2 boxes (heavy) arrived in relatively good shape. I decided I would start the project at 6am today. The instructions are good and the engineering is excellent. I was not missing any parts. Everything fit the way it should and the only tool required is a #2 Phillips screwdriver. The packing was excellent. This is probably the best piece of furniture I have ever purchased that requires assembly that was so professionally done. Even the hardware is individually wrapped and labeled. The Home Styles Create-a-cart 9200 is well designed and crafted. After assembly, which took a little over four hours, I was amazed at how attractive it was. The entire unit is constructed of real wood - not particle board. The black granite top is beautiful and adds a touch of class. All pieces fit together well and quality control was very good. I have two caveats, detailed to assist with assembly and not to criticize. I purchased the two drawer model and prior to installing the granite top, noticed there were two support braces for affixing the top that seemed to have no place to go. Those pieces were included but are only required for assembly of the four drawer model. The granite top for the two drawer model is secured using four metal brackets that slide into grooves cut into the side panels. After having my wife assist me with lifting the very heavy granite top in place, and then inserting the drawers, I disovered an issue that another buyer mentioned. There was insufficient clearance between the bottom of the granite top and the drawer front. It would hang up and prevent opening the drawer. It needed approximately 1/8 inch more clearance to permit the drawer to open without sticking. I solved the problem by purchasing a set of clear self-adhesive pliable furniture bumpers of appropriate size from Home Depot. They were affixed to the top surfaces of the wood edges that the granite top was designed to sit on. This gave enough clerance to enable the drawers to open perfectly. One other caution: The unit is shipped in two very heavy boxes and I recommend having assistance lifting / moving them to avoid injury. I broke open the cartons on ground level and carried the individual parts to the assembly location. All parts are well-packed and nothing was damaged in shipping. I would recommend this attractive cart to anyone. It has provided us with much needed storage space in our kitchen. ... show more

Hats off to the company that put this cart's instructions parts. together. Not only did they put Alphabetical stickers on parts but they also put the hardware ,screws and bolts in packages with a label of what and where they go,not just a big bag of them all together and you have to figure out what is what . One downside was putting the drawers together, easy instructions but the screws they use were not wanting to go in the wood and the Philip head was wanted to round out. We will be buying an other one . SO you have to be very careful when it comes to putting in the screws. take it really slow and easy. ... show more

I bought this cart for the kitchen. My husband began to assemble & couldn’t stop raving about the quality of packaging, & concise instructions. Parts fit together, all holes drilled accurately & screw packets all had an extra screw. Needless to say, we are impressed.
