These are all together a great set and get a lot more than what you pay for. That being said, "home hero" is printed on every single utensil. Which is usually fine, but the printing is pretty noticeably crooked and some are just faded (as I'm sure they will over time antyways). Not a big deal me because hey, they're only used for cooking. They are sturdy but not as sturdy as perhaps a wooden set. They are still flexible. These are perfect for a college student in a dorm or a "just for now" set. I am eventually going to buy another more durable set. I would not purchase as your "forever" kitchen set, I just don't think the life in them will last that long- granted I've only had them a week. ... show more

Nice looking utensil set and would look great in any kitchen décor, for the most part a good buy. However, if you cook a lot some pieces may not live up to your standards. The spoon and spatula handle and ends are good but the neck is a bit thin and as things heat up tends to bow or bend. Same with the grater works great just not able to put much pressure on it if you do will start to bow/bend. Opener was great easy to use and turn with no force or issues. I would suggest that the sleeve that goes on the pizza cut be tad bit better. Instead of thin flexible plastic cover which as it is will tear if used a lot but the cutter was great itself. I was pleased with the rest of the set performed and worked great as expected the tool to. Put thru dishwasher and the set held up great none of the steel parts tried to spot or as with some cheaper set seem to or show rust spots. ... show more

This is a very nice and complete set of tools. If you are just starting off at school or have moved into a new place, this is a great starter kit. This set contains all the basic tools you will need to assist in your cooking needs. So far everything seems very durable. I like the handles on the tools, they are comfortable and get the set a consistent theme. All of the tools that will make contact with your non stick cookware, with the exception of the whisk are nylon coated. This will prevent scratching of your cookware. I like the fact that the measurements on the spoons and cups are embedded in the plastic and not painted on. I have a set of measuring cups where the measurements have worn off, I can tell them apart but it is just easier looking on the handle when I make my selection. All in all this a very good and complete starter kit for your kitchen. ... show more

This is a perfectly good starter set as most of the items work just fine. However, I did run into a few problems with some of them. I am used to a metal potato masher, so this one feels extremely flimsy to me. That being said, I'm sure it would do the trick if using only on soft, cooked potatoes. The hand can opener worked very well and was easy to turn. However, the bottle opener is another story. I tried to pierce a hole into a can of veggie juice and was unsuccessful more than once. As I put pressure on it, it felt like the whole thing was literally going to snap. The lip that goes under the rim of the can is simply not deep enough and just pops out of position each time. The peeler is quite different than a traditional one with moving parts. It requires much more pressure and the blade isn't nearly as sharp. The grater is also not very sturdy. The kitchen shears were plenty sharp to cut up canned mushrooms and fresh herbs. The blades moved easily and were aligned well. I have only used the pancake turner with hot items and did find that it's rounded edge did make it a little difficult to scramble eggs flat in a skillet. One of my pet peeves about turners is that food dries and builds up on the bottom edge and becomes warped with extreme heat. I'm interested to see how this one holds up. ... show more

Guys, the price is right and I've had no issues after 2 months of constant use. All were individually wrapped. All the pieces were there. These are low to medium duty basic utensils. Yes, they will probably break if you are trying to stir a large stock pot of something thick like chili. I hate people who abuse their tools and then complain about a perfectly good product. Stiring something heavy or thick in a large pot or pan? Pick up a steel or wood utensil. The right tool for the right job. Even the potato masher people complained about worked fine for me. Boil your potatoes a bit longer so they are softer. Don't blame the tool for lack of common sense. ... show more
