I love this desk. My husband and I rent a small room and I started going to college. I was needing a place to do homework other than the couch and this one fits the bill! My husband was able to put it together within 40 minutes (he did kind of hate the instructions, but he figured it out). We tried mounting it to the wall with the supplied brackets following the instructions and the desk wasn't very sturdy. So we added an additional bracket on top with a drywall anchor and now it's not going anywhere! The desk is cute. I like that it had an open frame/legs unlike other versions I saw that were just a flat board on the front. It's plenty big enough for my 17 inch laptop. I even just store it on a shelf in there when not in use. The chalkboard is cool, my daughter likes drawing on it. I didn't have any space for a lamp, so I got some battery operated LEDS and stuck them to the underside of the shelves for some additional light and that works great. I like these a lot. Putting them together was pretty straight forward. My only complaint is that the edges did not pull together perfectly, but you can't really notice. I also think the measurements offered for hanging height in the directions was off. I just opened the unit and marked the hanging line by hand. Otherwise it was perfect. The hanging mechanism was great to fine tune into level. I have a few pics. You can see they are level. I did not use the cheap yellow anchors. I found a stud for one side hanger and used bolts for the others. I used studs with the bottom to braces. It's in their solid.fits are space perfect and is a nice match. ... show more

Really love my new desk. I’ve been working on the couch since quarantine started and I finally gave in and bought a desk. We don’t have much space, so this is a perfect alternative to a traditional computer desk, as I can fold away my days work and not have to think about it come 5pm! Also has ample storage space for my pens and notebooks, and feels very sturdy. It was a little difficult to assemble- make sure you have a person handy to help you lift the desk into position. I love my new desk! Living in an apartment space is limited and this was the perfect solution for our needs. As others have mentioned assembly is tricky. Figuring out where to attach it on the wall is by far the most challenging and frustrating part. It would have been nice if the instructions provided measurements for how far the bottom should be from the floor. We attempted our own measurements and ended up being a little off so there is a very slight slope to the desk but not enough to justify going through the hassle of redoing it. I live in a 700 square foot apartment. I have been researching desks for quite a while but didn't want to give up on space. This is the answer I have been looking for! If you are not overly handy I recommend asking a friend who is to help mount the desk to the wall. The measurements were off in the instructions and I probably would have ten wholes in my wall if my friend wasn't with me. That was the only issue.     • A Slight Challenge
I received and assembled this unit yesterday. Assembly was not what I would describe as easy due to picture only instructions. Also, the main desk pieces were supposed to have an ID letter affixed in order to match the assembly instructions but several were not labeled. This, along with less than accurately depicted pictures, made assembly challenging. If someone is not comfortable with their spatial comprehension abilities, this assembly could be quite a challenge. With the desk top lowered, the end leg support swings out but the legs are too long in my judgment. The legs bring the desk height to about 33" and a normal/comfortable desk height is about 29" - 30", so sitting at this desk is awkward unless you have an adjustable height chair or prefer sitting on pillows. In order to make this desk usable, I cut 4" from the legs and fortunately realized this and cut the legs before hanging the wall cabinet. I enjoy woodworking so I had the skill and tools available to complete this while maintaining a good leg stability. When hanging and attaching the wall cabinet, height measurements are critical but the instructions offer little to no guidance. Hanging the wall cabinet either too high or low gives you a non-level, non-adjustable desktop so measure twice and drill your holes once to attach the wall support brackets. Also when hanging, consider using your own wall anchors as the anchors provided are too small as are the screws. Even after drilling holes slightly smaller than the anchor, getting a tight fit while setting the screw into the anchor was not possible. I used a slightly more substantial anchor and screw. All in all, the unit is well made and certainly fills a need once it's modified. ... show more

This was exactly what I was looking for. I would like to have 5 stars. However, one of the legs was not glued at all where the wood interlocked. I figured I would try to gorilla glue it and clamp it before I put it together. Luckily that worked. I was able to put this murphy desk together in a few hours. The instructions are small but if you follow steps it's easy to assemble. I did purchase better wall anchors instead of using the ones that came with the desk. I didn't want it to fall off the wall. All pieces were included and label. The desk is exactly what I wanted to hold my tarot cards and to be able to do spreads in quiet. I would suggest that the company has better quality control due to the leg not being glued. But it was an easy fix at home so I didn't return it. ... show more

I love my new table ! My husband purchased this for my sewing room. He assembled this all by himself. It was missing a few screws, but we had some on hand to finish the job! I will update with pictures soon.
