Once assembled....they thought of everything! Very pleased that the slid in back panels are thick AND the have wedges so that they dont move or rattle! Just as good as the exact same one that was bought at Hobby Lobby for $475 my brother got! Expect: 1. To follow the directions EXACTLY 2. Do NOT use power tools u less they have a "light" setting. We used a Milwaukee drill with a #2 bit set on the screw setting lowest (#2) torque. 3. Takes about 90 minutes 4. You do not need two people 5. Unpack and layout everything BEFORE assembling. 6. MOST OF ALL, when inserting the back pannels... save your self some frustration and clean the back channel out as there is residual dust from routing it out that gets stuck in there. Over all, seems super sturdy, very happy with the build, looks almost exactly like the picture as far as color goes. So DONT think this thing comes lighter or darker...it is what it IS! Shipping. The box left not much to be desired when it arrived. I was expecting product damage. But....not one piece was damaged because its packed so well. I would have to say I'm impressed. Over all, very impressed and well worth the buy at $199 and im VERY HAPPY we took the risk and bought this. ... show more

I love this piece of furniture! It came packaged very well. It was relatively easy to put together. I put it together with the help of my 11 year of son in about 3 hours. It probably wouldn’t have taken my husband as long as it did for me but I went slowly to make sure everything was right. The pictures in the instructions were a little confusing so I had to look at them very carefully! The end result, beautiful! It is exactly what I wanted and the price you can’t beat! Very happy with this piece! It looks just like the photos (no color variation between stock photos and actual product, as with some items). It was kind of a pain to put together. Took us about 2.5 hours with 2 people (although, admittedly, neither of us are particularly handy when it comes to building furniture.) As other reviewers have stated, I would recommend making sure to follow the directions EXACTLY. Laying out the pieces as shown in the directions also proved helpful in the building process. We put one piece together backwards and didn't realize until later, which probably added an additional 30 mins to the building process. Two things to note before deciding to purchase: 1.) The wood (at least the top piece; I can't really tell so much with the doors, etc...) has some type of laminate covering (not solid wood), which I expected at this price point. **Extra note regarding customer service from them seller: One of the corners of the top piece of my unit arrived slightly damaged. I didn't notice until we were nearly done assembling the unit. I contacted the seller, asking for a replacement top piece for my unit. They responded nearly immediately, and a new top piece was on its way to me within 24 hours of the time I contacted them. 5 stars for my experience with the customer service from this company as well!** 2.) The design of this thing doesn't seem like it would stand up too well to a lot of moving around once it is assembled. It's a beautiful piece, which I expect to last a long time in the stationary space where I have built it. However, may not be the best choice if you move a lot. ... show more

It’s gorgeous. I’m sure it will last very long since it is not a piece of furniture that is prone to a lot of wear and tear. It is larger than I imagined it to be from the photos. It is made mostly of plywood and a piece split when putting it together. Luckily that did not have an effect on the structure or aesthetics. The sliding doors work okay. My 4 year old accidentally pulled them off almost immediately. But that could have been my placement of the hardware.. it was a little hard to know where to place the wheels from the instruction manual. Probably should have lowered them. Overall I think it is beautiful, large, and a great way to decorate your home while also having hidden storage space. It’s pretty sturdy and heavy, although I probably wouldn’t want to move it around a lot or put too much pressure on it regularly. But it really brightens up our home and makes me happy to look at! ... show more

We bought this to replace a low, very dark wood TV stand that was about the same quality as this though, its not real wood. We like the finished product but it is difficult to put together and you have to pay very close attention to which way the parts go together or you can get half way done before realizing that its backwards or doesn't face the right direction. It really needs two people to do it right and efficiently. We also thought it was nice that there were extra little parts in case you break or lose one. It took us a week to put it together after work and making dinner etc, working on it for about an hour or so a night. It's not top quality but should last if you don't have small children. It is also pretty narrow on the sides, our Xbox one did not fit there and we had to move it to the center shelf. The barn doors are nice but they are a bit flimsy and will come off the track easy, just be gentle with it. Overall for the savings we would have purchased it again. ... show more

It's exactly what we were looking for! I love the color and the sliding barn doors. It took my husband about 1-2 hours at the most to build. Not too bad! I would say it's a good deal for the price. We are happy!

Not the best engineered product I have assembled, and the hardware (mainly the cams) don't have a solid locked in feel as other product like this have. It is fairly sturdy once assembled, but I would hesitate putting anything with any substantial weight on it such as a large tv, or heavy amplifier. We use it as a storage and for smaller items and it will probably hold up well enough. If you move a lot, or just move your furniture around your house frequently, I would tell you to look else where. This product won't hold up to multiple relocation's well. It should hold up decent if not moved. ... show more
