Man this bites... I really wanted to like this chair. Especially since I had people tell me to go with this chair. However, this is like a back killer! I’ve tried it for two nights now. When I come home from work I just want to relax and enjoy my chair to lounge in. I have no pain whatsoever prior to sitting down. After about 15-20 mins my lower back starts to pulse with pain and mind you I am far back into the chair. I figured ok maybe I won’t go so far back and actually hold my posture up right. That helps to reduce the pain but doesn’t quite do the trick. The only thing left to do is to get up and move to something else. My guess is that there is not real support on the bottom of this chair. It’s more like straps that hold you up so it’s almost like sitting on a hammock or swing but without the swing movement lol. I tried adding a small pillow for some more support but it didn’t help much. It’s a beautiful chair. Very appealing but that’s not enough to keep it. I’ll be returning this. ... show more

I love this chair! It's very sturdy and comfortable. The way the arms are give you enough room to comfortably sit cross legged in the chair. The cushion is very comfy and soft. I was worried that the cushion might break in but I've had it for a few months now and it is still just as comfortable as when I bought it! Also my dog in the picture is 95lbs ( just for size reference) ... show more

This chair seems pretty sturdy. It’s also very soft, and the cushion is nice and thick. It took maybe 5 minutes to put together, and has no problem holding everyone in the family. (Not all at once. LOL). It’s not meant to provide support for your back, so if you’re in need of a supportive chair, don’t buy it. But if you don’t care about that, it seems pretty great for a bedroom or home office.. You can’t beat the color choices. *Edited to add that the crossbar does attach. I just think the instructions are not crystal clear about how. It gives the seat extra support, and will just take you a few extra minutes to figure out. I recommend adding it on. (It goes front to back, not side to side). ... show more

It’s is not velvet. They write velvet in product title but it’s not velvet. I’d have not bought it if I realized it is not velvet. Would have looked better if it was velvet. The frame is just boundaries ..meaning it doesn’t have a full body chair frame ..just the outline Not sure how long the fabric will last as it’s kinda hung in between Cushion is good though and feels comfortable. But if I realized it’s just an outside frame with covered cushion I might not have bought it as they way it’s made ..it may not long last ... show more

The minute I saw the colors and vibrant print, it made me smile ..then I saw it was called "Maple" and sure enough,the print does involve maple leaves.. I also needed something that would be comfortable.. support the entire back, preferably the head, and be lightweight. The chair arrived today, lightweight, easy to put together, sturdy. The material is a little odd.. it's polyester with a silky slippery texture. Sitting in it is comfortable enough . It has a gentle tilt and it's really soft with gentle support. I have lumbar stenosis, so sitting always feels better.. sometimes I prefer a sturdier support.. but this chair feels very good and offers a bit of neck support for me, I'm 5'5" and if I slide down an inch, the base of my neck is supported. We needed a reading chair that would fit in a corner, not taking up a lot of space. This is surprisingly comfortable for a couple of hours with a book. I would suggest a footstool, otherwise there is some pressure on the back of your thighs (depending on your height), not as bad as a folding camp chair though. It's not ideal for extended laptop use, as it's a bit narrow where your elbows likely fall and if you don't use a footstool a laptop would have to balance on your knees. Also very easy to move between rooms or between homes. For the price, it's a great buy. ... show more
