    • Damaged upon delivery
The box and table parts arrived damaged. The 3 shelves all had dents and one of the four adjustable “foot” pieces was missing. I called to see if the missing “foot” could be replaced and maybe we could tolerate the dents. The only thing offered was total return and boxing that heavy table back up and hauling it to a UPS store was too much for me to manage. So my $200+ table with dents is propped up on one leg with wood pieces. Disappointing. I do not recommend. ... show more

I love this work table. We need to replace our dying fridge and have decided to go with a larger model that will not fit in the old fridge space, so we decided to move the fridge to create some much-needed counter space next to our range. The 24" x 30" table with 2 undershelves fits perfectly in that space and really opens things up. Don't know why we didn't do this sooner! So here are the details on the work table. The top has reinforcement that goes across from leg hole to leg hole, so it's very, very sturdy. The shelves do not have that reinforcement, but as you can see from the pictures, they are substantial enough to hold my appliances. The top is just a little below the height of my counter, which is fine. I will note here that cutting on a cutting board on top of a stainless steel top is a different tactile experience than cutting on a cutting board on top of a laminate countertop. There isn't any give in the top, but it does feel different. We have an 8-quart crockpot and a smokeless grill on the top shelf, a 6-quart and an 8-quart Instant Pot on the bottom shelf, and there is still some room (the full depth of the shelf is not taken up by the Instant Pots). I am using this table as a food prep station and a place to put either an Instant Pot or the crockpot while it is cooking. I may also use this for my bread machine and stand mixer. Assembly was pretty easy. It probably took more time to remove the protective sticky sheets on the shelves than it did to assemble it (they were very sticky, but I expected that as they protect the face of the stainless steel during manufacturing). We had two people to assemble the table, which helpful, but not really 100% necessary. The instructions were very faint and just pictures, so they could have been much better, but we had no trouble figuring it out. I like this table, it's not easy to get the shelf level. Also the adjustable feet are a bit weird, you can't twist them out a little because they will not catch and go all the way back into the leg. You have to unscrew them quite a bit before they catch and that adds about 3/4 inch of height and they are a lot skinnier than the actual legs so there is a lot of added pressure if you have something heavy on the table (as I do). ... show more

Works well for clearing the countertops! If you're looking for a prep table, maybe a heavier one would be better... Assembly was simple, though I searched and searched for the bag of screws - it was taped out of sight - my sight anyway lol. The plastic covering the surface tops did not leave without a fight. You need strong hands and fingers and patience. (Cursing loudly did not speed up the process but I felt better.) ... show more

One hour. It took FOREVER to peel off the "tape" covering (there's so many little pieces all over the floor currently), and THEN I had to put every effort I had in to pulling the plugs out of the top table holes so I could finish set up. After 4 broken nails, a lot of very creative words, a whole body strain, and the absolute rage that filled every part of my body, I finally got them out and finished putting the table together. The table is fine. The process to build is maddening. Are you a patient person? This will test that. I gave it three stars because, after assembled, it is what I wanted/needed. But I would rather pull out my own hair than have to assemble that again🖕🏻 ... show more

    • I don't care about "scratches"

I bought this for my new house because we had more floor space than working counter space. I love stainless steel! I don't get people have this "don't scratch it" thing, the point of stainless is that it will take scratches but can still be beautiful. It's tough, able to be sanitized with the harshest means, will take hot pots/trays without a trivet, and is easily wiped up. Anyone who fusses over a scratch or two needs to get something else! What I was looking for was a hard working surface that would take abuse and be cleaned thoroughly and polished when necessary. My kitchen is a workplace, not a delicate fashion statement. Anything in it needs to take a beating and ask for more. This piece is worth the price, which is low. It's only drawback is that it's hollow, which means the top sometimes "buckles" and makes a sound. I don't mind it, but I will get a more expensive piece when I redo my kitchen. It takes the weight of a 50 lb bag of flour, adjusts to the unevenness of an old kitchen floor, and I can do anything I need to on it. It's a great height, I just wouldn't recommend it for kneading dough or something (I would get the wood-topped one for that). ... show more
