    • Excellent picture quality

So, I am coming from a 2019 LG C9 OLED TV. I bought this TV worrying that it will be a significant step down in quality. I was especially worried about the viewing angles. Yes, the picture quality does suffer somewhat at extreme angles. However, the overall picture quality is surprising. The colours look rich, the birghtness is more than adequate & the TV feels well-built. My family isn't complaining...and they haven't even heard the price yet! What really surprise me was the sound quality which is really really good. There's a reasonable amount of Bass, more than you'd expect from a flatscreen TV. treble is a bit low but probably can be adjusted in the settings. Make sure you setup the Picture settings using Filmmaker mode as a reference otherwise it may look too colorful and artificial. Folks, this is no OLED, but for the price, I am shocked at what it can deliver. The remote is better looking compared to brands twice the price. The user interface is a bit cluttered but loads fast and works well once you know how to navigate it. The initial setup takes a while bcos of all the Google tv blah blah, but in the end it’s only a onetime setup. ... show more

Upscalling is horrible. Picture is grainy on some OTA signals. Picture seems flat compared to other brands. Interface is clunky and confusing. Funny thing is my son has a Hisense two years old, and his picture seems clear and shows good depth and image quality. His TV was half the price of my Hisense U8 Series 65U8N. If the TV was $400, I would probably keep it. Howver, it is being returned. One more thing. I have owned many TV's in the past. Hisense leaves me with a bad feeling on quality and reliability. Hisense warranty states they may or may not send a repair technician under warranty to your home. Up to to Hisense to make the determination if you need to send it in on your dime to be fixed. Incredible! Warranty: "ON-SITE SERVICE: Certain Products are eligible for on-site service at Hisense's sole discretion. To obtain on-site service, Purchaser must call or email Hisense as described above to trouble-shoot the issue with the Product. Hisense customer care representatives may determine Product eligibility based on Purchaser's description of the issue, which may result in a determination that the Product requires shipment to Hisense's warehouse in lieu of on-site service. On-site service may not be available in certain locations where an authorized service provider is not available. An authorized service provider is considered unavailable if the Purchaser's location exceeds fifty (50) miles from the service provider's business address. In the event that on-site service is not available, the Product must be shipped to Hisense's warehouse. Products returned to Hisense should be shipped in original or equivalent packaging. Purchaser is responsible for delivering the Product to a reputable shipper.     • Very happy with this Hisense product

This is my first time using this type of super-definition TV. Yes, OLEDs tend to be very expensive, so I browsed around for an alternative, even AI recommended this product—impressive brightness, colors, and contrast (I bow to all of them). The images look perfect. I honestly think that this is an affordable alternative to OLED TV. QLEDS does its job as well, not to mention the awesome sound quality. I'm very picky with images and sound, I tend to notice the defects and details in both. I've owned Sony and Samsung for a very long time and was quite skeptical about other brands; believe me, this is just as perfect as you'd wish. I'm very happy with it, and I'm looking forward to the U9 and the following versions. ... show more
