There is lot of places on my job with what I do. Places that you just can not measure with a traditional measuring tape. Some times it takes 2 people to hold a tape, this laser measuring is highly effective and accurate. I love it. It is expensive but I hope well worth the investment.

I work alone a lot and this unit makes all my measuring reliable and accurate. It works indoors and outdoors perfectly, you have to get used to really exact measurements, but you can change the accuracy level you need. it does indirect measurements like measuring a roof-line from the ground or measuring a tree height, the applications are endless. I even use it for installing cabinets and doors and windows, i love this tool. I had a problem with my unit after almost one and a half years of hard use and Hilti sent me a prepaid UPS label and i sent it back to them and they sent me a brand new unit within days, great service, and a great tool ... show more

Awesome tool, I bought this for doing a large T&G ceiling, but now use It for measuring base. It is a time saver, and you can’t beat Hilti’s awesome warranty and customer service.
