My dog is small so she doesn’t finish the whole bag fast enough. I typically freeze the bag into smaller portions so that I guarantee freshness. Once dog food is opened, it will last 2-3 weeks before going bad. The pieces are small and don’t seem to be too hard to bite into. As for flavor, she hates it lol she’s not picky about dog food so this is the first time she has refused to eat. I occasionally mix this stuff with bits of boiled (unseasoned) chicken or maybe some boiled veggies. That’s usually enough to get her to eat. There are dog food toppers available at pet stores for sensitive stomachs that I use whenever my dog is REALLY sick of this stuff. As for her health, I KNOW that it has helped. NO more diarrhea or constipation. NO more booty dragging on the carpet. The only real issue I have with this product is how fast it sometimes flies off the shelves. So an emergency back up bag is kinda necessary if your dog has serious stomach issues. I’d give it 4 stars but as mentioned before it’s not perfect lol ... show more

We had to switch our bulldog over to this. Although it’s pricey compared to other foods as it’s a prescription he has done extremely well. It has reduced his gas and he has been very healthy since starting it.

I tried about 5 different dry dog foods for my dog and none of them worked as well as this one has for my dog. I just wish it was more available in my area and/or didn't require a "prescription" as I don't particularly like buying dog food online and it can be difficult to find this in stock when I need it. ... show more

I get the same type of dog food bag through Chewy and the dog pellets are tiny. My dog had a stroke and has LARPAR disease. His throat is closing up on him. His airway is closing up on him. So, the tiny pellets are best to swallow. The dog pellets that came in this bag were about 4 times larger. I just have to ask next time before purchasing, am I buying the dog food with the tiny dog pellets. The quality of the food is TOPS. From my dogs stroke, he now has to have this type of food for his digestive issues now. Dog food was delivered right on time. ... show more
