  • nice knurling done on step portion and heavy strong construction
very solid, robust and heavy in your hands. (for the size of them). they are perfect sized in terms of foot hold and tapered screw portion. (keep in mind thickness of bark on tree when deciding to mount. an older douglas fit for example has a fair amount of bark to penetrate before grabbing wood.). if u r going into thick bark, i've made a point of cutting a flat spot into the bark to advance threads further into tree. ... show more

  • Easy to screw in
I've screwed in hundreds of these over the years. These are probably the easiest.

  • Does the job.
Works well enough. Tips could be better, some trees it's pretty difficult to get started.

  • Sturdy and easy to install.
Mounted a cell booster on a telephone pole.

  • As described
They are exactly what you’d expect. They get you up a tree. I tend to bring a battery powered drill with smaller diameter bit to install these. So much quicker. Pre drill, spin them in and you’re good to go. Takes me ten minutes to put up these.

  • Requires pre-drilling
Not the sharp pointy-ness I am used to with screw in steps. Only 2 of mine were sharp enough to start into a maple tree. I even tried stabbing the tree with my pocket knife and diggin out a little hole to get em started...- not to be. So there I was 8 feet off the ground trying to get the 3rd one started. I gave up on the steps and just hunted. Of course had a mature buck run in and pick me right off. Had I been up high enough he would be in my freezer and on my wall. Sigh. They are very nice quality otherwise. Thicker than ameri steps and with good knurling. Make em sharper! ... show more

  • Need to hit them hard to bite in.
By just trying to screw these into bark, it's hard. If u can hit them to sink in a bit, they bite in and bury deep. Easy to screw into the tree. Doesn't take alot of effort.

  • Not the best but not the worst
Don't wanna screw in trees unless you have a pilot hole pre made but once in there good to go
