  • Great travel bag for petite woman! Measures within carry-on limits
I wanted a versetile travel back that can be carry-on compliant. I was looking at Osprey but the pricing really put me off since I couldn't justify the cost. I found this bag was a better fit for a smaller woman. I'm 5'4, 114 lbs, slim/smaller build with narrow shoulders. I felt this bag had a lot of good support and it didn't feel uncomfortable for me. I got tired of guessing if the bag fits so I went around the airport taking photos of the carry on limit measurers. This bag barely fits into the 22x14x9 limits. I did not over pack. I only have three packing cubes (one large, one medium, one small), a toiletries bag, a makeup bag, a small shoes pouch, and one MacBook Air 13 inch. I deducted one star for the following reasons: - Some of the harnesses and belt loops came frayed. - Some loose threading (cosmetic) - New item came dirty (I cleaned it) and without a plastic wrapping to protect it during shipping Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Nice pack
Size: 90L Color: Black/Slate/Gold
This pack was put through the paces in a trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. It came through without any damage and carried everything needed. Its weight was not excessive and the shape of the pack prevents hanging it up on low branches and in/out of the canoe. I'm happy with this purchase and may be needing another soon. ... show more

  • Stiff arched back a bit annoying, but otherwise comfortable
Size: 30L Color: Black/Slate/Gold
A small bag if you want something compact. It not very roomy with the still hard back limiting on the amount you can jam inside. The stiffness also make it a little harder to shove underneath the seat on a plane vs a soft back. The materials feel sturdy but this makes the weight to size ratio a bit on the heavy side. I do like the hip strap as that was the main reason I got this pack. I carry a camera clip on the shoulder straps and this pack works well with minimum jiggle. ... show more

  • Nice Backpack
Size: 50L Color: Mineral/Slate/Glacier
This is the second High Sierra backpack that I have. I really like them both. I had tried a fewer of the cheaper packs on Amazon but the materials were not as high quality as this pack. I like the thought and engineering that has gone into this pack. The pads are very comfy and are the same as my 2yr old High Sierra pack. After 2yrs the padding has not faded. This pack has 2 exterior large water bottle holders. This is very nice if you have 3 kids. This pack is targeted toward someone that's 5' 9" or smaller. The shoulder straps would not work well for a large person. I"m 5'8" and 180lbs. If I was any bigger the pack would not fit my back well. ... show more

  • The bag sufficed and was a great value. I still carried 30lbs of camera equipment ...
I purchased this as I needed a rugged daypack where I didn't worry about weight so much or ruining the bag due to the environment (little heavy but lighter bags are also twice the cost). The bag sufficed and was a great value. I still carried 30lbs of camera equipment along with trail necessities with no issue and bag was comfortable. This bag also doubled as a carry-on for my flights. I am not using this bag as my main multi-overnight bag but it will be good for a night or two and great for carrying heavier loads than a normal backpack. I used this in harsh environments and it is holding up with no issues. If you are expecting a $150 dollar plus amenities bag your are looking at the wrong bag but you are getting more with this than any others I have come across in this price range. ... show more

  • Comfortable & Rides High
Size: 40L Color: Pine/Slate/Chartreuse
This belt on this backpack actually clips on, and stays on my hips, so the weight is evenly distributed as it supposed to be, rather than pulling on my shoulders. I would have liked it better I could attach bed roll at the top rather than the bottom, other than that, it's perfect. A good size for travel that can be carried on to plane. ... show more

  • I like it but there's maybe a factory defect?
Size: 70L Color: Black/Slate/Gold
I like this bag but there's maybe something wrong that I noticed, when I open the main compartment there's another divider/sub compartment with a reversed zipper without a handle. So, to open that you have to push the reversed zipper. Maybe that's a factory defect.

  • 50L Good travel pack
Size: 50L Color: Pine/Slate/Chartreuse
This is a good backpack. Made well, lots of compartments, comfortable even when full. I bought the 50L for a 10 day trip. It had to be checked at the door for the small planes. It fit just fine on the big planes. When backpacking you have to make choices because you can't take everything. But honestly after making the choices I had more than I used and the convenience of not waiting for a bag at the carousel was worth it. I overpacked it a little and it held up well. I put my crocks in the side pockets and even when checked at the door of the plane they stayed in the pockets. I am 5' 3" and I was able to easily adjust the pack to fit well. We had to make a quick paced 15 minute walk to change planes a couple times and although the pack did seem to gain weight by the time we reached our destination it was not uncomfortable and it did not poke or rub. ... show more
