The Hi-Lift 48 inch cast and steel jack is constructed with a mix of cast components and four high-strength stamped steel components. Performance characteristics and weight capacity remain the same as the all-cast Hi-Lift jacks but at a lower price. WIth over 100 years of quality, the Hi-Lift Jack is a rugged, highly versatile jack that puts you in command of situations requiring lifting, pushing, pulling, winching and clamping. Although light in weight and easy to manuever, the Hi-Lift Jack offers a rated load capacity of 4, 660 pounds (2114kg) and a tested load capacity of 7, 000 pounds (3175kg), achieving a 150% safety factor. Our jacks are designed to help you survive in the most demanding situations - whether you are in the Moab desert canyons, the Welsh mountains, the jungle or the farmlands of Indiana. I purchased the Hi-Lift for self-rescue when off-roading in my Jeep JKU. I initially had the 42" version but with the addition of the L100 Lift Mate and its long straps and hook to attached directly to the tire, I found the 42" version would not lift the tire much above the ground so we exchanged the 42 for the 48" version. Read on for our impressions. -- WRAPPED DELIVERY: The Hi-Lift came bagged in a big silver wrap and was not boxed. That didn't seem like much protection but the lift came complete with no missing or broken parts and included instructions. -- EASY TO LIFT ONE CORNER OF JEEP: It operated correctly and was exactly as described. It was very easy to lift one corner of the Jeep JKU. -- CAREFULLY ID LIFT POINTS: FYI if you drive a Jeep Wrangler.........After inspecting my Jeep Wrangler JKU, I did discover there are NO reachable lift points with the 4.5" beak of the Hi-LIft. The stock front bumper is only vinyl and will not hold weight and will be damaged. There are no reachable lift points on the sides except for the stock side step which are not strong enough to hold without bending or breaking. Lift points on the rear stock bumper could only be reached under the tow hook. All other points on the stock Jeep will be damaged if attempting to lift there. The Hi-Lift jack lift surface is only 4.5" long, so it requires steel after-market bumpers. -- NEEDS LIFT MATE WITH STOCK JEEP: In order to use the HI-Lift with a stock Jeep, the accessory LM-100 Lift-Mate is required, which provides hooks to attach to the wheel to lift the wheel directly. We were concerned that the portion of the jack head that is against the tire might pop the bead of the tire and we saw the tire deflect quite a bit but it did not. Still before using we would probably over-inflate the tire to reduce the risk of popping the bead. -- HEAVY: Its very heavy at about 30lbs so if mounted on the rear gate, reinforced hinges should be used. -- FITS ON FLOOR OF JEEP: Even at 48" long it will fit in the back of the Jeep across the floor which is how I carry it. -- HAS HANDLE GRIPPER: It comes with an attached spring to hold the lift tube in place when storing. -- SMALL BASE: The base is too small an surface area to even allow the jack to stand up confidently on its own. The small base will sink into the ground when lifting so an extra base is needed to provide a good solid surface to push against. A road base is essential to use this jack to raise a vehicle safely. Hi-Lift has an accessory, a Road Base, that is about 12" square but I made one from wood scraps I have around the shop and it works great.. ... show more

Love this jack. Super capable and powerful. Use it to lift and level a 10’x20’ stick built shed. Follow directions and LUBE. Safe up and safe down. Great design and incredible price. Would like to see HiLift offer the top 90o claw as an accessory sold separately if no longer included with this particular jack. ... show more

I’m so glad I had this product on my jeep. We had a flat one time my wife says call tow truck. No I took the high lift off Jack the Jeep up and change the tire and I was on the road again thank you very much for this great product. Have a great day.

I’ve seen cheaper models but do you really want an inferior product that could potentially fail when you could be under your truck? Not me!! And actually it was priced competitively in my opinion, and it gives me piece of mind knowing I didn’t cheap out. Would recommend and absolutely buy again!!

Have used this jack 2 times during two trips and works as intended, the only down side is that if you keep this jack mounted outside you truck at all times it will rust out a little bit. Wish the coating would have been better, giving 4 starts because of that.

I was in the market for another Hi Lift Jack for another vehicle , I read a bunch of reviews for different brands and most people complained about rust . So after taking a good look at this brand that's been mounted on my Crawler for about 5 years I noticed there was virtually no rust at all .
