It fit and works very well

  • Quick handel
As others said, 1" bore was .006 undersize. Hey ..2 vee blocks in a vice, bore it to size. Takes maybe 15 minutes. You must own a mill if buying. Works very well and I did change the handle tip for a ball that is shown. Comes with tapered end. Not a bad price, but QA is an issue here.

  • Once bored out it works well.
It does seem strange that this handle fits the Bridgeport quill perfectly once you have bored it out to the correct size. It is easy to do on a lathe with a boring bar or with a boring head on the mill. The top unscrews easily (2 x #2 posidrive screw heads) and the pin that holds the handle is easy to punch out. Once bored and reassembled it works very well. Probably some thread locker is going to be needed to prevent its parts shaking loose. Why it claims to be a knee handle is a complete mystery as is the fact that HHIP continue to make it despite all of the reviews saying the hole is too small. Maybe it is the correct size for some milling machine somewhere. Despite all of this I am pleased with its performance. ... show more

  • Mill handle works great once the bore was re-machined
I received the handle and went to use it on my Bridgeport 2J head and noticed it would not fit on the handle shaft. I measured the bore diameter and it was under an inch and should have been an inch. I ended up taking the handle apart and measured the opposite end and noticed that it was just over and inch in diameter. The internal bore was at a taper, but I guess that is to be expected for less than $20. I took a .005 over reamer and ran down the bore which took care of the issue, the handle now works great, just a mild annoyance having to re-machine a new handle out of the box. ... show more

  • Handle works great but the manufacturer needs to NOT ship the arm with the ball attached!
The arm works awesome. First one I ordered came broken, so I re-ordered it fully expecting the second one to be broken too and indeed it came shattered. Manufacturer simply needs to separate the ball for shipping. I am not returning the second one and instead will just make a handle out of a golf ball. Don't let this keep you from ordering it, because even with a busted knob it's still worth the money. I just put a 1 star rating hoping to get the attention of the seller. ... show more

  • Not the same as the picture.
Disappointed that it’s not exactly the same as pictured. The ball on the end is tapered instead of round and I selected this one so it would match the rest of the handles on the mill. Oh well, it still works.

  • It fits!
After reading other reviews, I bought this fully expecting to have to bore it out to 1". However, it fit right on with no mods. Bore measures 1.004" so it's a little loose. Bottom line- it fits, it works, and for 20 bucks I'd buy it again.

  • Review: HHIP 3900-0201 Quill(Knee) Feed Handle
Useful tool used on Acer milling machine. ID dimension too small amd a bit rough, After touch uo work it fit fine and is working fine. But you should not have to finish someone elses product. Their QC needs improvement.
