There was a crack in the front plexiglass shield of the frame upon opening. Also one of the clamps was broken off of the cardboard. Still hangable but disappointing.

Plexiglass in picture frames certainly makes them lighter. However, plexiglass scratches very easily so that over time, the look of your cherished photos becomes diminished until you replace the frame (or if you are lucky the plexiglass. Needless to say, I am not a fan of this style of frame because of this fact. I do like that the frame came with a matte, which often makes the mounting of your photo look as if it is of professional quality. At $11.39 at the time of this review, the price is lower than many frames of comparable size and style. I look the natural wood, contrasting with most black frames to add variety to my photos hanging on my walls. This natural look goes well with brightly colored photos. ... show more

This frame is good for the price but I was hoping that it would be slightly better in quality. You can tell by looking at the frame that it isn't real wood but is actually plastic. Where the frame is connected in the corners the coloring has come off and makes the frame look worn. On the bright-side the frame is lightweight and comes with brackets on the back to hang it on the wall either vertically or horizontally and has a very nice looking mat. ... show more
