    • A nice little lightweight for a calm day. Mostly a toy, but it can take nice pictures.
Before I forget: novice? Use "headless" mode. Your life will be easier. This is a very lightweight drone. It is fun. It is mostly a toy. That's OK, it is very affordable. But it also means you can't make the best movies. The drone will rock and roll based on the smallest breeze. It is best to use it in dead calm. When you do, you can record some nice movies using the app. I only used the app for recording and nothing else. That went pretty easy. There are no instructions, so you have to kind of poke around a bit first. Typical of apps. I used the hand controls and they are fine. You have to remember to pair and calibrate each time. Then off you go. I really recommend using headless mode at first. I thought I was smart and didn't need it. I immediately got my left and right reversed and put it in a tree. Fortunately my neighbor had a long pole to help me get it out. This is less likely to happen in headless mode. In headless mode, the drone remembers its heading and will keep it, no matter how you spin it. Very handy. I was able to get some nice pictures of my roof, so it has use besides being a toy. Otherwise, just have some fun. Go in an open field and do some flips with the built in button. Take a picture of yourself waving. One last thing: one user here showed it in a carrying case. Mine didn't come with the case and I don't see it listed. It would be nice to have. You may not get it that way. ... show more

This drone is great for the price. It flies well for ten to fifteen minutes nonstop. The setup with my phone is easy to get the camera linked. However, there are a few issues. The drone does not remain stable even when indoors. It will prefer to drift left. The battery is tough to remove once in the drone. FPV video/app connection is strong within visible distance. Video quality is passable for the price. Wind stabilization is weak and easily tossed around in even a light breeze. Ok for the price, but nothing special.

I like that this is an all in one kit for people who never had a drone before and want to try it out. They include extra parts, like blades, because you will crash a lot, and likely damage them when you do, and a second battery for the drone. This drone is small, setup was easy. I was up and crashing in under ten minutes I wish they would have included the 3 AAA batteries needed to power the controller, but lucky for me I had some remote controls I could steal from, just be aware that you may need to go to the store and grab some to get started. Another minor complaint is there is no indicator light for the drone batteries. You plug a special USB cable directly into it, but there is no way to know it its charging or if its full. Overall this is a great starter drone. Now I just need to figure out how to keep it airborne for more than a few seconds ... show more

The photos show that a case is included, but that is no longer the case. That aside, this drone is actually identical in every way to the smaller ones. The controls, battery, and drone itself are larger, but the mechanics are the same. If you have limited space and want to practice flying indoors, the smaller ones are better for that. This one is fairly light, but it can cause some damage if you're not careful, especially in a rental. Since these drones are a bit lighter and fairly weak, they won't do very well outdoors. ... show more

This drone is very easy to fly my son enjoy flying the drone outside and easy to control. I would recommend this product for kids who wants to learn how to fly a drone.

The media could not be loaded. Very happy with this drone! It's a great starter drone. Very easy to set up and start. Pro's: Good quality materials, the remote works well and this drone has some fun moves. It's not too loud, but definitely has a loud buzz noise. It also comes with some protection guards that came in handy quickly when I crashed it into my house (no damage to either!) Con's: On a windy day, this thing will lose control quickly and fly away. I used it on a very minimal windy day and immediately it went flying away. Be careful until you get the hang of it! ... show more
