TBH I didn't buy this piece for a child rather a project that will be a static piece for a project I am working on. But what I will say is that this is a more of a toy rather than a true like simulation for someone who thinks this might be a good start for a kid to try an instrument. The look is great, it can fool someone from a distance, otherwise if you are thinking about purchasing this as a tool for a starter into playing an instrument, try a cheaper violin for a beginner, this will not a good option for that! ... show more

The item was clearly used. The safety screw on battery cover stripped. One tightening nut bent. Scratches all over it, photos do not give justice. Slope in the bow like its been tugged on. The electronic portion bad design plus wouldnt play past one note in song, like it was stuck. But*If you want a silent play violin this is great. Looks very real. Great for a photo prop. There is no way to control the volume, it's very loud. And the music doesn't work most of the time, if it does work it shuts off after two seconds. It's cute and a nice little toy if you're lucky enough to get a good working one.

A piece of crap.. strings won't stay tight and so it's a hazard to little fingers getting caught And cut. Had to remove string. Sound doesn't play thru for more than 4 seconds. I would send back but the child loves carrying it around.

The bow doesn’t play, it’s fake. If the music is not on and they want to play it like that it’s a dull sound because the bow it’s lastic and maybe this would be great for pretend time. It broke very fast when a book landed on the top of the violin, broke in half, though we tried to but a real bow as well and it’s a screechy sound so that didn’t work. Cons: 1. Terrible sound. 2. Blinding blinking lights 3. Metal like material used for Strings - can cut the child 4. Can't make any sounds with bow on string. Pros: None.
