We just fold the sides under (my baby is old enough to get out from under blankets and such, but we still watch her). I use it inside the home for hard surfaces, take it on the go for our go to play mat, and love how light weight yet thick and soft it is. It washes well without shrinking or getting misshapen. Great buy, I'd actually like it in more colors and in more rooms of my house. I use it in our tent, in the nursery, living room, etc. It has grippies on the bottom so it stays in place on a flat surface and washed well in the washing machine. I believe it's supposed to be waterproof too, I haven't noticed it holding anything, just comes right off. Adds some softness to a fall too :) 10/10 ... show more

Lovely product. I was just expecting more cushion. My kid throws tantrums/falls in her play pen & it’s accompanied by a loud thud. I expected this to have more cushion support for a child’s head/body while they’re playing.
