If you played with construction kits as a kid, you will be right at home with this arch. However, 43 pieces and 26 bolts later you end up with a nice arch. There is an instruction sheet but assembly is pretty intuitive - you just need a screwdriver - and the parts all fitted together easily. This arch would be great for an indoor wedding arch but, for garden use it is a bit on the flimsy side. Even with the bolts firmly tightened, there is some play in the joints and it sways a bit. I have gone for the wider (98”) and lower (74”) configuration, secured the bases with 12” U-shaped stakes and added 2 rope stays at each end (from an old tent). Maybe I’m over cautious but it is now much more secure. I have planted a climbing pink rose (Zephirine Drouhin) at each end and. Hope to have a truly beautiful garden feature once the roses grow up the arch. ... show more

    • It is a bit flimsy and mine came with dirt added

I really cranked these bolts down and there is still some wobble. The wide arch is what I went with and at the very center it sags a tiny bit. It's because the tubes aren't an exact fit. The sag is minimal but noticeable. I plan on putting a shim in it so it tightens the fitting or maybe plug it with some silicone and let it dry without the sag so it's filled to maintain that shape. Pushing the side in also helps as it forces the arch shape so if you add like pots to hold the sides in position it helps. Or another reviewer used U shaped stakes to hold it. Also when I was putting it together alot of the bent tubes were filled with dirt as well as the bag they came in. I don't think it was used since it's not a part that actually sits in dirt. I just think this is negligence at the factory or whatever. Due to the sagginess and the added dirt it loses two stars. Once I put some work in to it it's going to be a 5 star item but that's not how it comes. ... show more

It's good, but not great. Not sure I feel comfortable without it being up against something with the weather we get here, can get quite windy. It's easy to assemble, though it will take time. Haven't tried the taller arch, I imagine it's less stable. Still, pretty good arch for the price and will just need to be weighed down a bit. Quality is better than expected, could tell right away as the box was heavy. ... show more

It does not take much to put this arch together, just a screwdriver and the included hardware, and it is up and ready quickly. The parts are made of decent quality water As another reviewer mentioned, it is not the steadiest outdoor installation, it will require some stakes or tie downs to keep it up and in place. I'm going to have climbing fruiting vines growing on it in the future, but it is barren for now. ... show more
