Very stable! Keeps puppy safeand in place. Straps are all adustable and easy to use. I also love that it is easy to remove the straps and fold up and store when puppy isn't with me. Perfect fit and working great! Easy setup in the car and stable. Just what we were looking for to teach staying put while I drive. Wish there was one more size up in this same design and brand. Pup will outgrow this one in a month. Price is great for this product.

I bought this car seat because I have 3 dogs and needed a separate spot for my smallest dog because she can't stay still in one place when riding in a vehicle. We hook all our dogs in the back seat and this car seat goes in the middle acting as a divider also. It is pretty sturdy for Winnie who is about 18 pounds and it is just enough room for her. I attached the hook to her harness giving her the least amount of space to roam around so she couldn't jump out of it but has room to sit and lay down. The hook seemed to hold her well and she stayed put. I also put a toy with a treat inside to keep her occupied somewhat in the seat for the ride. It's perfect for our puppy! As a two dog family, we want to keep our girls SAFE, first, but it's also important for them to be comfortable. While I haven't ridden in this car seat personally, Ruby (pictures included), seems to be pretty cozy riding in her seat. When we first got it, she was light enough that she didn't trigger the passenger side airbag to activate, so I did have her ride in the front seat. However, now she's a little bigger and even though she might not be heavy enough to trigger the airbag, I'm still not going to risk it. We've ridden with Ruby and our bigger dog (Luna) both in the back seat. Luna was buckled in comfortably and Ruby was in her car seat. This way, they were together, but still had their own space. Initially I was worried about Luna accidentally stepping on Ruby or trying to get into the basket with her, but they both did really well! Our back seat is a 30/70 split and I was confident (and correct) that this carseat would install on the smaller side without any issues since it's about the same width as the front seat. However, I was excited to see that after lengthening the straps a little, it could also attach on the LARGER side! So, no matter the seating arrangements, Ruby is road ready! Her seat keeps her contained, secured, and safe. We also tightened the top strap (around the headrest) to raise her up a little so she could see out of the window. If you do this, maybe put a pillow or folded blanket/towels, etc under the carseat (between the dog's carseat and your car-seat). Otherwise, the pup will bounce around with every bump in the road, and according to Ruby, the transfer of motion is INTENSE when the seat is just suspended in the air, haha. Having something under it will help stabilize it and hopefully keep your pup from barfing. I wouldn't say Ruby LOVES riding in the car, but that's more because she's a baby and it's still new and scary for her. I CAN say that having her own seat seems to help her feel safe, and it definitely helps ME feel better about having her ride SAFELY in the car. Just to clarify this is not a booster seat, it does provide a somewhat safer space for your pet and you can teather them in, which is nice , other then that, comfort-fails, ease of entry-fail- boosts your pet so they can see outside-fails, sturdiness-fails

I chose this over the more expensive ones with thick cushy pads because young puppies chew cushy pads and they pee a lot! Also, it's easy to change out towels (we have dedicated dog-towels). I put a new towel in with each outing, but so far no accidents in the car. Honestly, when I was shopping for a seat, this looked so basic, but it was a good price for a puppy I know will outgrow it in a couple of months. And it was easy to put in our car and the built-in safety straps worked GREAT. Lots of hills and curves but the car seat was steady. I didn't even need the extra straps that I bought separately (i'm overly safety-conscious). The first time we took her out, our puppy cried for a few minutes and then settled down, now 6 or so trips later she likes her safety seat and settles down right away. I hope I can find something that makes her this happy when she grows up (she's a rescue and we are guessing she will be a big girl). In sum, this is a good purchase! ... show more

I have four.. Two purple and two pink one. For my vehicle and my husband's vehicle. My dogs love riding in our vehicles in their car seats. They feel so secure and safe, they nap the whole time. Must have for your furbabies! They do sometime collapse from the front but I can usually bend it back into place. ... show more

I ordered two of these...one for each of my mixed mini poodles. It was an awesome asset for a recent short road trip with them. The seats were pretty simple to install on the back row of my SUV. I tuned the installation over to my 13-year old and he had no problems. One of my canine kiddos is typically a very nervous car rider, so having her securely strapped in was a blessing for us and her, as she was not able to do her usual attempt to jump from lap to lap. It took both pets a little while to get comfortable and settle down, but once they did, the relaxed and slept much of the way. As some reviewers commented, the seats don’t have any padding. I used my dog’s lightweight blankets on the bottom for cushions. Obviously, old towels would work just as well. The seats remain in the car for trips to the park, the groomer, vet, wherever we need to travel with them. They are simple, but functional. ... show more
