    • Spring into action
I recently installed these and took my time at it. Loosening retightening loosening retightening until I was happy with the install. I probably had a total of two hours into the install. Be careful they are not crooked, or you will have one side of each clamp doing all the work. I used a wood clamp to slightly squeeze the springs down so that I could get the bolts started. Didn’t want to scratch the Perty powder coat. I tightened down the ends so that I had two threads of each bolt showing after the double nuts were on. This was just enough to take up the slack so that the shackles didn’t move around. After install to took it for a cruise and am happy with the ride. It’s a little firmer, and has slightly less body roll. I’m sure when I tow our trailer on memorial weekend that it will tow like a different vehicle. I’m currently at the bare minimum of adjustment, so plenty more room for adjustments if needed. Nice hardware, nice springs, nice instructions. Make sure long end of the spring is to the rear. Measure from center to end and you will see what I mean. I think that’s why one guy on here had issues with his install. Sounds like they are backwards. ... show more

Install was not very difficult. I didn't have a big enough C clamp so I had to ask the wife for about 10 Minutes of her time. I had to use a pry bar to get the ends low enough so she could get the nuts started on the u bolts. Made a trip to St Louis and back the day after I installed them 300 miles each way. They definitely made the ride better. I only tightened them down about 60% going to go to about 75% before we head to Michigan and see how that does. ... show more

My Silverado 1500 always sagged in the rear end with any kind of load in the bed. The Hellwig helper springs solved the problem and and didn't affect the ride at all. They were super easy to install as well. I Love these springs.

Very nice quality springs. Ajustable tension makes them easy to adjust to your desired needs. Would be nice if they came with the $2 dollar rubber spacer of the higher dollar kits they sometimes make noise when you hit bumps light to no load, heavy loaded there fine. Easy to install the ones I got go over the u bolt bracket on axle. Adusted down to 1 inch handlels my toolboxes and aux. 50gal fuel tank ... show more

I bought these and chose to have a local suspension shop install them. The asked me a lot of questions and then told me they were better than the similar item they stocked an installed, and cost $100 less! I am very pleased with how they performed towing my trailer.     • Exactly what I was looking for
hated the way the truck squatted when I hooked up my trailer, I didn't want air bags and wanted to keep the soft easy ride. Easy to install, less then an hour, ride hasn't changed at all and when I'm pulling trailer with Side by side on it the ride is exactly what I was looking for.

    • Not very durable.
Installed as instructed from manual, it worked for about a 2 week period and now back to same issue as before. Best thing to do is, use the money you plan to spend on these and just get new springs and install them.

    • Simple easy install
I ordered them just to try them out i was skeptical, but man was i impressed with the ease of installation and the overall product. It did not change my ride when my trailer is hooked up at all. but it really helped with trailer pulling
