We just remodeled our shared restroom, and went for a really masculine aesthetic (my preference too, tomboy). This is gorgeous. Visually/aesthetically, it's perfect. PERFECT. The bottle is on the smaller side for diffusers, and the black bottle makes it really rough to see where the level is, but so far so good, still going pretty strong. In terms of throw, I don't think this would work for me in a larger room, but I feel like this can be said of most reed diffusers I've found. In the restroom though it really does add a bit of the in the woods forest bath thing I'm really partial to. The scent was a lot stronger at first, but kind of calmed down and blended into the whole atmosphere. Has more of a kind of woodsy outdoor "I like gin and pu'erh tea" vibe than like, Christmas, so to speak. Packaging on this was lovely. Large box, arrived super intact (felt almost indestructible, but I can see from other reviews that's always the case). I think it'd make a great gift. I think my perception of pricing here has been skewed by brands that charge insanely higher prices for similar products, but I think it's fair/reasonable. The bottle is glass so recyclable/reusable, visually very striking. I really have no complaints here. ... show more

I am a bodyworker/massage therapist and scents are a huge part of my practice, so I am looking for aromatherapy items like diffusers for me to use during my sessions. They also have to be aesthetically pleasing, as well, to elevate my patients/clients experience. I tried this on my own bathroom to test out whether my family and I like it before I put it in my office. So it was actually pretty exciting for me to try the scent diffusers from Wax and Wit. So it was nice to see that this diffuser was available. Oakmoss and amber seemed like a nice combination, but I had no expectation on the scent. But now having this diffuser for a while, it is a clean masculine scent that is reminds me of a blend of aftershave and baby powder. It is a refreshing change from the feminine or citrus scents I've tend to gravitate to. Because my household is mostly men, they seem to like this scent, too. As for the quality and throw of the scent, it is good. It's not like the Nest brand, which the throw is intense, this one can be just right. For a typical-sized bathroom, the throw is noticeable even when entering and exiting the bathroom. The bottle and reeds are aesthetically pleasing, adds interest, and balances out my light bathroom decor. I also have to mention the packaging since it was very impressive. The box came with comprehensive instructions and tips on how to properly use the diffuser, shelf life expectations, and a little about the small business behind the Wax and Wit brand. It's kind of like Bronner's soaps but more concise. LOL! It also was packaged well so the glass bottle and reeds were well protected. The diffuser was placed in the entryway and helps fill the area with a nice fresh aroma. The sticks require a flip about every two weeks to keep the scent strong enough to notice. The fluid depletion seems to be slower than other diffusers and will last longer than expected.

    • Great smelling diffuser, but I wish it were a little stronger

I'm particularly sensitive to smells - which is ironic, given that we also have two dogs. So we're fairly consistent about cleaning and keeping things like plug-ins or essential oils in use. These caught my eye because of the nice minimal packaging and the solid product description. This actually seems like it's a genuine boutique shop that makes and distributes these. And that's important because this product category is difficult to stand out in. First, I'll say that the scent is excellent. There is definitely a warmth to the vanilla scent and it's not overly strong. I followed the instructions of putting the diffuser sticks into the oil for a few minutes and then turning them over so that the oil-soaked sides were outside. Within another few minutes, the smell started to filter throughout the room. However, it smells good enough that I'm actually a little disappointed that the smell doesn't permeate the room further. It's a fairly small bottle...and it actually says that you should use it in a smaller space like a bathroom or a smaller bedroom. I've placed this in our master bedroom and it's like one small space in the room has this fantastic smell, but it drops off fairly quickly. So keep that in mind - if you're wanting this to fill a larger space, you're definitely going to have to pony up and buy a larger size. All of this said, I'm not totally sure that the small size and small coverage make this worth the price; it's fairly pricey. If it lasts as long as it says, it'd probably be worth it. ... show more
