Set of 5 super aggressive disks for 4.5" grinder. I used two of the disks with my 20V cordless grinder to start carving out a seat in a large pine round and to strip defects off of medium sized branches that I use to make walking sticks. The main work was on the walking sticks. The disks quickly removed all of the defects and remaining bark from a 4.5' walking stick. Start to finish it probably took about 15 minutes while it used to take me at least 1.5 hours to do the same thing. The disks are extremely aggressive and leave the affected material with significant gouging that needs to be sanded out if a smooth finish is required. Extreme amounts of very fine wood dust is created and scattered far and wide. A dust mask is a must. I normally leave the handle off my grinder but it was also a must in order to control the grinder. I use a chainsaw mill to slab logs. There are always interesting pieces that are cut off at the beginning of the process that I hate to just burn, so I turn them into yard art.. mostly tiki masks. I paint them and place them around the property for kind of a scavenger hunt. I buy the house paint rejects at the big box stores to color the art. No two are ever the same. These little discs help me carve/sculpt the faces using a 4 inch grinder. Be extra careful not to tough these to anything you done want ground away... like your hand. ... show more
