I usually use the otter box on my phone but I’m pretty rough on it and just can’t see spending $40 every few months for a case but I really like the otterbox carry clip since it works so well and holds up great. I seen this case for a fraction of the price and it looked identical except for the Apple logo cut out in the back that this one has which is a nice touch so figured I’d give it a try. Glad I did cause about the only functional difference I can tell is the rubber outer case is a slightly different texture and the plug cover doesn’t fit quite as snuggly as the otterbox. Other than that identical as far as I’m concerned even the otterbox carry clip works on it since it has the little indentations on the sides for it which is exactly what I wanted. All in all a great buy and I’ll buy it again next time I’m in need of a replacement because $12 is far more reasonable than $40. Oh and that garbage plastic screen protector that’s built into the case, just peel that out and get you a good glass one on your phone then put it in the case. Works much better and won’t affect the fingerprint reader. I do the same with the otterbox since it has that same garbage screen protector, they’re ok for like a week then get too scuffed up and just not worth keeping in it. ... show more

    • Not Bad For A Cheap Otterbox Defender Clone

I recently bought an iPhone SE3 5G to replace my old 6S, as it won't be supported by Apple much longer. I'm a diehard Otterbox Defender user for about 20 years. But try as I might I could not find one in these colors (Gray/White) for less than $35-$40. So I decided to roll the dice on this knockoff for $9 after a promo code offered on this product page. It arrived quickly, which was nice. My new SE3 5G iPhone is identical in size to my old 6S, with 3 notable differences that affect case design. 1. The rear camera is in a slightly different location. 2. There are 2 speakers on the bottom, instead of a speaker and a mini audio jack. 3. The iPhone logo is lower on the rear of the SE3 instead of near the camera, so the case logo window is lower Initial impressions: The outer rubber surround is stiffer than my Otterboxes, and a bit more difficult to install and tuck in. Not something you'll do very often after initial fitting, so not a big deal. Everything else is pretty much equivalent to the Otterbox. It also fits perfectly into my old Otterbox 6S belt clip, which is handy because this one doesn't come with a belt clip. I'm happy with the case; the fit and overall quality are good and it's cheap insurance against phone damage. This type of case provides excellent protection against bumps, scrapes, and falls. For 9 bucks I consider it an excellent deal, and it gets 4 stars from me. ... show more

Overall I like the case itself & the three-piece design is a little bulky but I’m willing to sacrifice for the protection. However, the thin plastic screen protector is a poor quality & has scratched from repetitive use after less than a month, and the home button cover is bubbled & drives me absolutely nuts. For 10 bucks, this isn’t a horrible product, but there is definitely room for improvement. I may break the plastic screen protector & home button cover out at some point, but the rest of the case should still be useable. ... show more
