I tested it on a new car battery and it works well. It seems well-made. My only complaint is that the alligator clip (negative) is too small of an opening and very hard to open. Not a problem if you just touch it to the negative terminal.

It's well made, pretty hefty in your hands. The coil cord and ground clamp is also heavy duty. I would prefer also having a light to indicate a completed circuit, but I knew this did not have one, so no complaint from me. However, you will have to make sure the digital display is in view while doing contortions (like under a dashboard) to see circuit indications. Nice product for the money. ... show more
